He was a bit better than that. I don’t think there’s a great deal between him and Patterson but Patterson is no.1 on merit. I wouldn’t have had an issue keeping Hoffmann as backup Burge however
Hoffman looked very good at the start of the season. Looked a too keeper. When he came back after COVID, he had little to no bottle. Almost, like I’ve said about others, like it didn’t “mean” enough to him to put his body on the line. Patterson I always thought it did. He’s grown into the role and is a better keeper imo than Hoffman was at any point imo.
