You'll all be telling me Joelinton can't control a ball, pass a ball or win a tackle again at this rate.

Jesus, we get it. You want to dumb expectations down and feel like going fishing with Cantwell as bait. Move on.

I believe you scouted him as a left back and tbh I think he'd probably do reasonably well at that, but unfortunately most of the people on here laughed at me when I said he's got all the attributes needed to play in the middle.

It was abundantly clear to me that he wins balls, intercepts well and can find a pass. I was spot on.

    People laughed at me

One of the things they've done is set up a new recruitment system that allows them to sign players faster than standard.

Football clubs are a business and what happens on the pitch doesn't means nothings being done right off it.

Newcastle will build nufc and there will be times when things go well and don't.

The had a winding up order just 4 years ago man and they've only been in the PL 3 years 2 of those finishing behind us.

They're training ground Broadmoor Heath is in ****ing turmoil due to HS2 construction running through it. But aye just you keep spouting this narrative that we're miles off them.

Aston villa were bought when they had Steve Bruce as manager in the championship struggling... They're doing nicely

You might want to read up on the system they've set up to help them get signings done so fast.

You're trying to make a case that Newcastles take over plan is further along in its development than one that started about 5 years ago.

Newcastles owners just got through the door

I'm not. I'm saying they are not years ahead of us in their business plan.

The initial raft of signings they made to stay in the PL now need replaced - much like ours, Their good players are stand outs on their day - much like ours, They have a **** new shirt deal with Castore - much like ours (without the shirt sales we are generating), they have a run down stadium needing huge amounts of work required to generate extra funds - We don't. They currently have a slightly better shirt sponsorship deal with Cazoo (started 20/21 season - worth £10m).

By the end of this current campaign, it is more then likely they will be light years behind us.

To finish this off too. They know deep in their bones - Gerrard either comes good and then ****s off to Liverpool or they will need to sack him. So no long term planning going in there.

They're 5 years ahead... You're making footballing comparisons which is irrelevant to that fact..

Newcastles plan started 8 months ago
    Villas 5 years ago.

And, as stated, it shows how poorly they are implementing this plan.

It's more than a year out and what you are clearly missing is the legal disputes Villa had with the EFL and HRMC and that small Worldwide pandemic nullifying every business plan around the globe.

No it shows the position the team finished last year in the table.

They took over 4 years and saved the club from the championship, established the club in the premier league and have done lots of work off the pitch in that time.

To suggest they're not further into their business plan than our owners is ridiculous.

Our owners just found out whether they'd have a Premier league club a month ago.

Villa are not ahead of us, totally ridiculous to even say that... remember they were nearly relegated in 19/20?

The only teams beside the top 6 ahead of us are Leicester and maybe maybe Wolves, Wet spam? debatable and that's just about it.

    That's all irrelevant.

Aston villa have been working on a plan due years

    Nufc 8 months.

Aston villa are therfore further into their plan unless they say on thwyr arses fur years...

    It's not rocket science this.

    Who's better isn't relevant

...... and they only found out 2 weeks ago.

The takeover of Villa was only for 55% of the shares initially. It wasn't until October 2019 that the remaining shares were taken off of Tony Xia.

A new business plan would have had to have been formulated at that time (pre Covid) without the equity required by the previous 45% shareholder.

Another new business plan would have been formulated in pre season for this coming season with the lifting of Covid restrictions in grounds. Therefor Aston Villa are currently 3 months into their business plan ahead of us.

Now once you've finished crunching on those apples you can come back with some more pearls of wisdom on business plans.
