This is the problem nobody ever said they were.

I said they're further into their business plan and I'm right.

The takeover of Villa was only for 55% of the shares initially. It wasn't until October 2019 that the remaining shares were taken off of Tony Xia.

A new business plan would have had to have been formulated at that time (pre Covid) without the equity required by the previous 45% shareholder.

Another new business plan would have been formulated in pre season for this coming season with the lifting of Covid restrictions in grounds. Therefor Aston Villa are currently 3 months into their business plan ahead of us.

Now once you've finished crunching on those apples you can come back with some more pearls of wisdom on business plans.

What you're now trying to do is suggest they couldn't follow a business plan as originally intended which is completely irrelevant to whether they managed to achieve anytbing or do anything in the years they've had at the club..

I've already given you one very specific thing they've set up.

Newcastle haven't had time to do those things yet.

Serious question without meaning to take the piss. Do you actually know how ridiculous this argument is over a business plan is? and do you actually know what a business plan is used for?

I'll give you a hint. Villa need one about as much as we do........

Furthermore as Barbosa said in Pirates of the Caribbean about the "code" They're more guidelines than rules.

The issue was never the argument it was the misunderstanding behind it and not on my part.

If I said Aston villa are better than us that's very different to saying Aston villa are further ahead in their business plan.

They're two completely different things.

Newcastles owners didn't even have a plan when the premier league finally said go on then he the clubs status was in question meaning planning was impossible.

Villas plans have started 4 years ago and I know they've done lots off the pitch I read about it last week.

I will not yield because I know what I said was correct and I know why people have misunderstood.

The funny thing is I don't care who's further into their plan I just said so and then the wounds of 2009 came into play

It doesn't matter and Cantwell is better than Hayden <laugh>

Mate, the object of a business plan is for sourcing funding, be that from investors or banks, nothing more, nothing less. You may mean something different, God knows my Mrs does this **** all the time. You are using the wrong terminology though and like I say to my Mrs, I'm not a mind reader.

I don’t think he actually means business plan in the legal sense mate. Your right in a business plan is for financial deduction: to ascertain finance.

But what he is saying is that Villa are further down the planning road than we are. It’s a business plan but not in the financial context.

So I think you should give him the benefit here because I tend to agree with him in that Villa are ahead of us. Albeit not positionally.

But it’s marginal and we can sway that tide.

It doesn't matter what it is.. Its the goals of the business and 4 years in to one is further than 8 months.
