used to go every year about 20 odd years ago - that's when they used to run the toyota and esso cars with bubble roofs
was there in 1999 when the Mercedes went for a flight as well

Definitely. One car drove up the back of another, took off airborne, flew over a low wall straight into the crowd in the main stand at the start/finish line. Did a few turn overs, ploughing into the specs who were standing on tables. Little chance of survival, and not much H&S in 1955.Seen it, pretty brutal.
