Hobbs replacement is Bruma, he's so far played a grand total of six minutes football for Leicester, it's not much to base an opinion on. Still, it's more than base some of your opinions on.
I was going more on the fact that Leicester still have a chance of going up whereas we don't. Thus Sven's appear to be working. Also, everybody hailed Belaid as a great signing without seeing him kick a ball or even hearing of him. I'm not going to get into petty insults, as a moderator you should be bigger than that.
It's not petty sniping, it's just having an opinion that's different to yours. Do you seriously not understand that? Are you really that arrogant that you believe that everybody should share your opinion? The Pearsons are doing a **** job, that's not a petty snipe, merely my opinion.
TWF - I think it's just that we enjoy talking through these deals, because they are rational. Which hasn't been the case in recent history. And NP has seemed to be the man with the plan from day 1 - even if this meant dull footie early days to fix our panicky defending and hoofing. These things breed more confidence than we've had since things unravelled in the prem. I think people just go "Yeh, makes sense" I don't think any of them have been exciting like Barmby or Deano or Campbell or Okocha (still seems nuts) or Bullard or Geo. But they do make sense, and I get the feeling a very clear plan is clicking into place. So I guess you wouldn't have taken 10th with a sniff of the playoffs in August then? You reckon NP should have done better with the chopped down mess of a squad he'd inherited?
right heres a task for you. you know as well as anyone that we had a poor start. look at the league table and work out how many points each team got after say 15 games. then repeat for the remainder and see which team is most improved. we are progressing better than most. if you think thats a **** job then you must be difficult to please.
It's nothing to do with arrogance, you are more than entitled to hold any opinion you like. You know you hold a minority view, one that you know will provoke other posters into responding, yet you post it every possibly opportunity. You know perfectly well what responses you will generate, it's no good moaning about it when that's what you get.
To be fair, I expect more rational responses than some that I get. Maybe I'm asking too much, but you won't see me mindlessly insulting people on here because of their opinion, which is exactly what I get off some posters. Half the time I end up defending myself instead of my opinions which isn't how it should be.
It's probably either us or Leicester, but we've come from a **** position of the Pearsons' doing. It'd be like somebody stealing your car's wheels and then only returning three, you wouldn't think "Oh my cars getting better, three wheels now, it had none", you'd think "****s sake, I've only got three wheels". Reliant Robin's not included. A manager should be judged over the course of the season, if we don't get into the play-offs (Which I don't think we will), then he should go because he hasn't done a good enough job.
you must think we could have got promoted with the awful team we were relegated with. it was never going to happen. this season my requirements were to not go down and to make some progress on the playing front. we wont go up but this season and the manager have been at least as successful as i wanted. next season we will kick on with the same manager. i know this is the case and i know all the pearsons will still be here next season.
You see here's a prime example of why you get the responses you do. We played the first half of the season with either no strikers, or one misfiring striker and weak players in several positions, as our previous owners left us in dire financial straits and we lost most of our squad in the summer. Yet you want the manager sacked if he doesn't get the club into the play-off's, just with this years performances to achieve that? It's an utterly ridiculous thing to suggest.
TWF I have sat and read the inane comments you seem to make without any rational, the arguments your try to create without any common sense, perhaps a change of name to WTF would be appropriate
I like TWF being on here. I agree with very little he posts but it does make people present an argument against his opinions. Too many people get wound up by TWF, which might me what he intends!
Don't know if you took any notice on what was happening on the financial side of things 6 months ago, but the facts are we got rid of over 20 players in summer and only had a squad of 19 for the first game of the season. With a bit of backing from the board NP has turned the club into promotion contenders, something we could only dream of after that horrible loss at home to Scunny in November (which left us 21st). Anyone with a brain would have seen that the boss deserves tremendous credit for what he has done for us - it's easy to forget he only took charge in July. Although many supporters criticised him at the start of the season, Pearson must have the backing of the City faithful now
So who would have done a better job than NP? I'd argue if we don't make the playoffs it's because of the earlier poor results when they were making the best of a bad job with the culled squad.
So many people have been having digs at you and I thought you just had a wider view on things instead of wearing Pearson-tinted specs. But you're just a knob really aren't you?
TWF, I'd have more respect for your opinions if they were expressed as opinions. They're not. You express them as facts and then defend them by claiming them as "opinions" to which we are all entitled. If I say "I think McSane was over paid for his ability" that is an opinion. If I say "McShane was over paid for his ability" it is expressed as a fact. The difference is "Think". May I perhaps suggest that you "Think" when you next comment? Off course you are entitled to your opinions, as we all are, and as many on here have expressed their opinion of you I would suggest they also consider making it clear that it is a personal opinion. For example "I think TWF is a cock" or "In my opinion TWF is an arse" perhaps even "I consider TWF to be an idiot". You can see how much more reasonable these statements are than the simple direct and abusive "TWF is a ****head". Surely this more reasoned arguement will lead to greater harmony and agreement in this chat room. In fact, having expressed things in such a polite and balanced manner, I am prepared to bet that 90% plus of the people on this forum would agree with all the statements I have made.
TWF - Being so young and embarrassingly immature is obviously hindering you as you type on your laptop in your student digs whilst writing an essay in something probably ending in 'ology'. However, even though Britain has dumbed down to such an extent that even you can scrape into some low rate higher education establishment (maybe you made it through some form of quota?) it seems a shame to most of us that you seem to merely be on this forum to slag off the Pearsons even though we are doing very well at present. Are you sure you ACTUALLY support Hull City and this isn't some hilarious student prank?
