Are you trying your strange negative prediction charm on the transfer window now? <laugh>
I was very pleased with the Jan signings... Apart from Wood. Just felt underwhelmed with that one.

The Trippier and Bruno signings surpassed my expectations of what a club, in the predicament we were then in, could achieve.

Just what I really think mate.. I'm expecting a much the same a January which was great.

I'm really just seeing some fans talking about certain players and they're expecting a huge overhaul signing players way beyond our capacity or capability right now.

The club is telling them, the manager is telling them, but they're so far down the track they start saying it's just them being clever to keep prices down.

They're not shopping on bargain hunt everyone knows they've got money and players being sold have a price.

Don’t forget the “free” transfer market
There’s a lot of them coming up in the next few weeks
No transfer fee but signing on, agent fees and wages can be offset over the entire contract length
I say spend now so you don’t need to keep spending every transfer window
To not use the feel good factor of the second half of the season would be foolish

There is a list of players the club want under any circumstances WHEN and IF they become available but who are not summer transfer budget targets but IF they are available for the right price the club will move on them regardless. See the likes of Kalvin Phillips and Raphinia if Leeds go down and they can outmuscle Barca for the latter. Brennan Johnson IF Forrest fail to win promotion.

Can see a number of deals this summer being loans with obligations to buy to help FFP - Allegedly this is how Ekitike deal is being structured but he is seen as ASM replacement/understudy.........depending on a huge attitude adjustment from our current maverick.

Club would prefer this method if they can get Henderson out of Man Utd too. Darlow to West Brom and Woodman to whoever.

Tarkowski on a free is possibly/probably already done. Can see us releasing Fede for this one on a free.

N'Dicka now down to 12 months left on contract - We will allow Lascelles to leave IF that is HIS desire. Can see him staying if I'm honest. Clark will be gone regardless.

No right back required due to upturn in form of Kraft. Can see Manq leaving

Hickey from Bologna, Targett, Bakker and Lodi seem to be left back targets with thinking possibly being if it's Lodi then only him coming in due to the fee, otherwise it would be a combo of Hickey and Targett. Will allow Lewis to leave and Ritchie to leave.

Only midfielder coming in I reckon is Paquetta - IF they can agree terms with Lyon, and IF Leeds go down I reckon they will move on Phillips. Allowing Shelvey to join Fulham and Hayden to go wherever. Hendrick will be gone to wherever they can dump him too.

Again if Leeds go down then a move for Raphinia on the cards if they can outgun Barca - who are chucking the kitchen sink at Lewandowski which is ****ing Raphina's proposed move. Allowing Murphy to leave and Almiron to leave.

Ekitike for left wing and someone else depending on if Wales qualify for World Cup foe the purpose of flogging shirts in middle east. <whistle>

2 out of 3 strikers with them being Nunez or Isak and Simeone or Scammaca.

Pre Season plans kind of ****ed at the minute too due to American tournament being cancelled. Its too hot for a camp in Saudi and the building work is starting on the redevelopment.

Forget Nunez and think about Bamford or Lewin at best

I’d rather not get DCL or PB and buy a 22/23 year old striker from the championship

Thing with Nunez is Benfica have scared the **** out of the established "elite" with their price demands. As much as he has been a cracking finisher in Portugal last couple of seasons there is doubts as to weather he can cut the mustard in tougher leagues. He is not the best technically and has had a few injuries too. A few seem to be prepared to let someone else take the risk and then if need be pay an even bigger fee in the years to come. Nunez is apparently Steve Nickson's number 1 target.

Isak is another one that a lot have thought about but he's had a **** season, but not been played as the leading striker. He would be a cheaper alternative to Nunez.

Personally I would have a crack at N'Ketiah as a Wilson understudy.

Gareth Bale is the player PIF apparently want to sign as their number 1 target. Would hinge on Wales qualifying for Qatar. I see this as a name for away shirt sales in Saudi.

Paqueta was our first choice before Bruno but he turned us down, then Bruno signed, he fell out with the Lyon manager and now wants to sign for us. Club have a top figure they will not budge on with regards valuation and Lyon are a pain in the ass to agree deals with. If Leeds go down I see this one being shelved but personal terms have been agreed already. Professional footballers go visit friends/players all the time without feeling the need to announce it on social media, they laso meet mates without feeling the need to adorn another clubs football shirt and then don't feel the need to go round different landmarks of a city they are being linked with whilst posting it all on their social media accounts <laugh><laugh><laugh>.
