He's been linked for quite a while.. You said Botman was signed in Jan, so I'll have to refrain from trusting you and your newspaper unfortunately.
Not going to be anywhere near as exciting as people think. https://www.shieldsgazette.com/spor...tion-as-lucas-paqueta-visits-tyneside-3700001
It’s all smoke and mirrors If u know anything about Saudi’s they won’t skimp When you have the money our owners have you’re not going to shout ( too loud) about it
It'll still be a good window, but the likes of Nunez and Paqueta I think won't happen. I personally would expect more along the lines of nketiah Henderson Lewin Tarkowski and targett Maybe one marquee signing I suppose hopefully Paqueta but I can't see it given what we've been told. Lodi perhaps. Shelvey Lascelles will be here along with Fraser almiron and a few others and they'll still get games. It's a big job.
Howe seems to like grafters so I don't think we'll sign any arseholes at least. I'm pretty happy with the current squad actually. I mean since Xmas it's been 4th best. There's definitely good foundations to build on rather than just ripping it all down and starting again. 50 to 100 spent well on 4 or 5 players and we'll have a very good squad by our standards .
Keepers - Bazunu or Henederson or Onana LB - Lodi or Bakker/Hickey and Targett CB - N'dicka or Botman/ Tarkowski CM - Paqueta and then watch this space if Leeds go down - Phillips. RW - Watch this space if Leeds go - Raphina. CF - Scammaca or Simeone and Nunez LW - Ekitike I reckon Tarkowski and Paqueta and Ekitike are as good as done.
I said the Botman deal had been agreed and it had. Financials where all sorted. The player didn’t want to come at the time because of our position.
We can still spend upwards of 100m and still be within FFP. And Howe is just dampening expectations which is sensible.
He's just telling the truth... People think nufc can just go out spending 60 ms on players like Nunez and Paqueta.
Phillips would be overpriced and I think he'll get a better offer. I read man united are after him among other clubs.
