i'm not sure why there hasnt been any announcements officially on who's been offered or not offered contracts. not seen any of the players say as much either.

this is stuff that would save us time. i really hope they're on the case

Sadly I'll be surprised if we hear much before the last week in May.
Folks on holiday, the play-offs, contracts expiring etc. etc.
There always seems to be an excuse for weeks on end of inactivity.

Pre-season must be starting around the last week of June this year.
If nothing much has been done by then (and I wouldn't be surprised) we're in for a repeat of this season just gone - or such a shallow improvement that promotion will still be well out of reach.

am i right in thinking the summer break is shorter this year as the season starts earlier? - due to the world cup at xmas?

You are correct. It's about a fortnight shorter.

So much for my prediction that nothing much would happen until the end of May <laugh>
It's night of the long Knives at the Valley right now;
Parkes gone
Keohane gone
Jackson gone
Skiverton gone

Who's next? :bandit:

JUst bought my S/T, only hope we get a manager who is allowed to manage. TS knows that recruitment has been awful, yet keeps the same recruitment team and sacks the manager and assistant. Confused.com.

I’m hoping and praying that TS & son don’t think they’re capable of taking charge of recruitment
You do get the impression of a degree of micromanagement from the owner. Twitter worked well for him getting rid of ESI, but not so much now.

“Adam Matthews, Chris Gunter, Ben Watson, Pape Souare and Stephen Henderson will also be leaving when their terms expire.

Loanees Akin Famewo (Norwich), Nile John (Tottenham), Elliot Lee (Luton), Jonathan Leko (Birmingham), Juan Castillo (Chelsea) and Mason Burstow (Chelsea) have all returned to their parent clubs.”

I'm torn about Washington. He had a good skill set, and made thing happen up front. But he was a royal pain in the ar$e in a one on one, and did enough to have a much better goal tally, but his finishing never quiet convinced. If it was my club, I'd have kept him on I guess, but there must be better finishers out there. the question is whether we can sign them!
