Thinking back to Butterfield's post, I believe a sell-on percentage should be a legal requirement for all player transfers.
Something modest like 1%.
It would mean all lower league Clubs who have to sell young players would at least continue to get something back from them during their whole career.
And if a player hits the big time, 1% of £30 million (for example) is £300,000
Might make a big difference to struggling small Clubs with very low incomes.
 
After the 100% guff-free Lee Bowyer and the low key Johnnie Jackson, we're due for a bit from our latest gaffer.
He can't compete with Gobbo though <laugh>
