Because I don't believe that a Football club can engineer their budget to effectively break even. Unless I've misunderstood and this is just tranfer fees in/out. It atands out as unusual. Don't you think?
Not particularly, I don't think it's particularly difficult to operate at a break even, just that a lot of clubs don't.
I wonder if we'll go back in for Shota's nephew again. That defender has been scouted by the likes of Man U, Barcelona and Bayern before, I'm not surprised they want €10m for him. He's also not very experienced, which is what we really need back there. That being said, his ability is probably higher than our current crop of defenders, so it wouldn't be a massive gamble.
Experience in a top flight of European football and the Europa League is probably better then 200 appearances at championship level too to be fair.
Yeah I agree, plus the Serbian league is pretty intense, that Eternal derby has an atmosphere beyond mental.
He’s been a pleasure to watch, for me he’d have played more this season (when fit). It’s a real shame and maybe a little blot on acun’s new regime if Tom hadn’t been told it was the end
The first post will be updated when anything is confirmed... Outgoing Tom Huddlestone- Released Allahyar Sayyadmanesh - End of Loan Nathan Baxter - End of Loan Marcus Forss - End of Loan Liam Walsh - End of Loan Di’Shon Bernard - End of Loan
Arveladze saying in HDM all the loan players are going back, Wilks on for Sayyadmanesh then next season.
He also said there would be discussions over some of them, but they have to go back as the loan contracts have ended. We still have an agreement for Allahyar, subject to him agreeing terms.
I thought we had a clause to sign Sayyadmanesh at the end of the season? Anyone know if we're going to take up that option?
Shota hinted as much a couple of weeks ago. Baz saying he expects us to make him a perm 'barring any hitches'. Some in Turkey suggesting its a done deal.
