Tomorrow it's Burton v Wigan and Portsmouth v Rotherham. I think we can pretty much assume Wigan will go up. Rotherham on the other hand are struggling and another defeat will really knock their confidence.
Some big games all round between now and the end of the season. I know we need to look at when the contenders llay each other, but nothing is easy. Shrewsbury are in decent form themselves and we have a habit of making our lives more difficult than they should be. Then our last game at Morecambe will be awkward, particularly if we need anything. I would be tempted to ignore league position currently and play each team on its merits. Something in the majority of the season I dont think makes a lot of sense, but right now it does. Alex Neil seems to pay a huge amount of time on the opposition which will help us against sides like Shrewsbury I think, as it is too easy to think it is a gimme.
Just hinted at this on another thread that I had a sneaky look at second because of the fixtures, maybe a bit to optimistic but it has been a funny season and it may go down to the wire.
I do think on the whole it is too optimistic but if results went our way in the next 2 games it would be interesting and how we were struggling to stay in the play offs the pressure would definitely not be on us
I am going away this weekend. the regular season will be over when i get back home. No fellow fans to celebrate/grieve with while away.
Remember us finishing tenth under fatheed, we shot up loads of places in the final day as the results all fell for us. Who says lightening can't strike twice
You never know, I thought Chelsea were out of the Champions League... But they are in a fight now to win against Real Madrid
From the Rotherham forum "Evening all, can't believe the team Warne selected, after Saturdays game. Defence all at sea, why wasn't Harding playing, Wood should have been rested, What was the Viking doing coming out for the third goal, Portsmouth commentator said he was doing his superman impersonation. Turned the game off with 5 mins + injury time to go, George Hirst man of the match, comes back to bite us, but I didn't rate him at the NYS. Warne has not got a plan B, teams have learnt how the Millers play, & how to stop them, how things are looks a play-off place." "Absolute shambles. **** off Warne and take half the team with you. Bunch of useless bottlers. Disgrace. Pure disgrace." Haway the Lads!!!
I know others have highlighted this but the more I look at fixtures and who's playing who the more confident I am. If we have a decent run in we'll end up in a good place, loads of guaranteed dropped points, just need to do our thing
