I was planning on getting back and catching the Blades game at HQ on the 30th, although now I can see that being a masochistic daytrip to mid table obscurity

Still going though
It’s been ****ing moved to 7:45 on Friday 29th. Just to make us even happier.

Dickie now out for season.
No update on Westwood.

We have been really struck with injuries..

5 or 6 Keeper injuries ( is that a record)
4 wing backs in the early part of season
Willock our most creative player
Now Dickie

We have been really unlucky on that front.

But...the deep depression that is surrounding us at the moment...Will not go away

In the context of how we have been playing that wasn't a bad performance. The confidence is shot to **** but we were snapping into tackles and at least trying to play forward and unlike recent games we did create chances. I don't think we should be too hard on the team for that, it wasn't like there was a lack of effort.

This slump has been bitterly disappointing but getting rid of Warbs with 5 games to go would presumanly be costly as well as pointless.

He should go at the end of the season, not now imo.

Put it on the Match day thread but WLS wrote Westwood dropped out with a stomach bug, Dickie out for the season with a hamstring, Hendrick and Wallace also have less serious hamstring problems, Barbet a swollen knee. Warburton hopeful Barbet and Wallace will be ok for Friday.

Injuries now are definitely taking their toll.
However, in my opinion, our problems started immediately after the AFCON with a stream of poor decisions from Warburton, long before we lost Willock, our best player.
I think Warburton should be replaced at the end of the season.

Other opinions are available.

That reminded me, at times of a sunday league performance. Piss poor. Preston werent even good ffs. Like the gaffer and players, i too cant be arsed for the rest of the season. Was going to go to the huddersfield game but would rather give the money to charity.
Come to Huddersfield Bob, can meet up, get smashed and watch it on Sky!

Agreed.
Definitely AFCON was the turning point.
Injuries aside, l tend to think he’s lost the dressing room as well.
Even the fans are suffering from injuries ( self inflicted liquids, which is likely to last till end of season )

When your luck is out it really is out.

According to WLS Dickie is out of the rest of the season with a hamstring injury. Dieng likely to be. Hendrick and Wallace also have less serious hamstring Injuries. Barbet had a swollen knee. Westwood dropped out with a stomach bug. Warburton hopefull that Barbet and Wallace maybe back Friday.
It's not ****ing luck ! When are you gonna wake up Os ffs. You simply don't get this many injuries without there being seriously wrong with our training. I've said it before , Warburton doesn't even do defensive training so who the **** is crippling all the defenders and keepers this season ?

Of course, it won't happen until the end of the season and then the hunt will either be on for a new younger astute manager or a new board if Warburton stays because they'll be bloody uproar. All that's left for this season is to make some money and keep backing our opponents to win !

Just opinions but I thought we were worse today than the sheff utd game, field is the only consistent light, he wins a lot of balls, god knows what has happened to chair and johansen. Injuries and spinal tap goalies haven't helped but if they're not playing for the manager, it's another change coming...so disappointing and can anyone see us getting anything before the season ends?

Field wont be with us next season. There will be some bids from the Premier league clubs
