    Match Preview;
    We head next to play a Preston side who have won two, lost two and drawn one of their last five. Their top scorer is Emil Riis Jakobsen, with 17 goals...next in the list are Cameron Archer and Daniel Johnson, with 6 each, so it is clear where their main threat lies. They have some experience in their squad in the likes of Scott Sinclair and Declan Rudd plus a young manager in Ryan Lowe, who is known for favouring all out attacking football. He took Plymouth back into League One, and they were top of that division in October 2021, before Preston came calling.

    As for us, as you can see from the initial comments below, not too much excitement about another game. Having lost our last four, whilst playing dull, unambitious and careless football, we have slipped out of the playoffs, and anything but a win on Saturday would surely put bed to any hopes of a resurgence and late run for a playoff place. Looks like Warburton will still be in charge for this game, and at least until the end of the season, so team news is...nah...I won't bother...who knows? There will be eleven players on the pitch, and that is about as much as I think I can predict.

    Team News

    QPR: Stefan Johansen faces a late fitness check and Moses Odubajo is likely to return.

    Preston North End: Ched Evans is a doubt, while Liam Lindsay will miss out through suspension.

    Pre-match Talk
    Mark Warburton (QPR manager): “The squad have had to adapt to losing key players – but we've lacked a cutting edge. It's about goals and we've got to find them again. We've lacked confidence in recent games.

    “There’s obviously expectation and we have to recognise that we still have a big opportunity. We've been in and around it (the top six) since the start of the season. It's all about winning games of football now - even if it's ugly.”

    Ryan Lowe (Preston manager): “This weekend we have a team who are looking to make the play-offs standing in our way. We have got to make sure we are on our mettle and we have to stick to our game plan and do what we want to do.”

    Enjoy to those of you are making the trip up to Preston on Saturday, you are bonkers, but committed, and I applaud that. As always...COME ON YOU SUPER HOOPSA!!! Please come on and just do a bit better to end the season.

    Preston are already wasting time, feigning injury and kicking the ball away

    We can't fill Loftus Road these days ! All the real Hoops supporters are either knocking on a bit, live to far away or just can't be arsed these days. There's more atmosphere created by our fans at away games, maybe we should build a new ground in New Zealand, I reckon Kiwi can make a right racket :emoticon-0100-smile

    We seem to have a lot of walking wounded after the Sheffield game but Moses and Stefan are OK.

    “It’s not a smokescreen. We’ve certainly got some issues this morning to deal with.

    “In terms of the team, I don’t know at the moment because we’re waiting on four or five. Stefan I think will be fine, but we have some other injuries.

    “At this stage of the season you have various injuries and that’s part and parcel of the Championship and of football.”

    A few weeks ago I was trying to get the game with the team I train/manage changed from the same time as Preston-QPR, now I am really plaesed that it couldn't be changed.

    Updated opening thread with team news/manager's comments. Exchanged texts with a mate who supports Preston yesterday, and he pretty much agreed...stop Jakobsen, and that is 95% of the job done.

    That means Dunne will be left out again and Sanderson will fail miserably at containing Jakobsen, I'm not optimistic for anything from this game.
