Anybody else think that unless the PL dock Everton a good number of points as in what has historically been handed out to teams in the past for financial **** ups then FFP should just be scrapped. Looking at their figures - they're trying to blame a £170m loss on COVID and the PL are trying their best to swallow it. What a load of utter ****. Goodison Capacity is 39,572. They're most expensive ticket is £50. Now assuming they sold out every week without season ticket holders/senior citizens/kids discounts the most they can make - 39,572 x £50 x 19 (home games) =just over £37,500,000. So they still have a £135m loss. They had a net spend of £62m on transfers. - Its ****ing nuts if they don't get battered for this.
This being the case and them skipping away free, we will be clear as day to spend whatever the **** we like.

Agree. Any competent Accountant should be able to easily work out what is and what isn’t a reasonable amount that could be allocated as “covid” losses based on current and historic figures.
Once that has been established then previous penalties for financial irregularities should be considered both FFP and insolvency issues.
Then, as they are the first in the PL (I think) for this type of breach then an example should be made of them to deter others going forward.
Or in plain English and without prejudging matters, throw the f*****g book at them.

Everton are now sat at a loss of £372m including the allowed adjustment.
So being the kind hearted soul I am, I reckon they should be deducted 1 point for every £10m they are in breach of it by. So around about 26 points.
I am however, laughing at the press saying everything will be fine because Everton have been working hand in hand with the PL's special finance team as they were aware of the issues in advance.

Lets face it, If you don't want a bunch of legal experts that would be required on a daily basis to look at contracts, rules etc in your office, some of which I bet have tidy as **** secretaries. Why the **** would you have any boring ass accountants in your office.
Nothing they do or say ever makes any sense. They are just a marketing function for 20 football clubs but they only let a small percentage of those clubs decide on what the rules are and what’s fair/not fair.
Only way Everton won't get a massive raping over their FFP breach is if one of the dirty half dozen is about to announce similar or in danger of announcing similar next year and don't want a precedent set.

Ah yes, that renowned sports journalist firm who have access to all the inside info at NUFC.
We won’t sell him simply because the larger teams won’t want to pay the money we would ask for him, he’s not an international as he’s seen by Deschamps as too selfish and not intelligent enough with the ball and he hasnt got the European or champs league experience the French national team want in their players.
All the journalists are saying that their losses can all be accounted for from massive covid losses and the club being able to attribute the rest of the excess to their new stadium's costs.
We are taking about a cosy circle where allegedly corruption lives and breathes at every single one of their meetings.
The third relegated team will probably need to kick off for ffp rules to be reviewed I'd say.
