Well he isn't better than Wilson so no, we should be looking for better quality. We are the richest club in the world mate, let's not **** around. The likes of Nunez, yes.
Judging by the names mentioned on Hopes list so far - step forward Dominic Livakovic from Croatia Zagreb
Have seen the Hickey rumour earlier on something else. Would prefer a more experienced LWB if we're going down that route in addition.
I'll be honest, when he signed on loan I was a bit like "meh". He's had a few canny games but if we sign him perm I'd still be "meh" I'd rather have a more dynamic, faster more creative outlet down the left for when ASM is either injured or on one of his regular, four week "couldn't give a ****" cycles. I am going to watch at how not being one of only 2 decent players in the squad or the team is going to effect him next year and if I was to bet, I'd say we will have seen the very best of him and it will be a rapid downhill turn in form next season and a huge tumble in his valuation. Would love him to prove me wrong and up his game, taking him to the next level but he needs to find far more consistency and be far more astute than he currently is. - I just don't see it.
I'm amazed anyone still follows the lad, he was talking utter bollocks before I got banned off Twatter and just received dogs abuse (much of it deserved) on a daily basis.
To be fair. Where the **** Puke Edwards got his info from for his story is slightly baffling. When you hear what happened when the takeover was completed on the actual day the deal was announced and cans were cracking all over SJP numerous journalists including Craig Hope (banned from club minutes earlier), Simon (The ****) Bird, George Caulkin, Lee Ryder, Chris Waugh, et all were all invited to sit down and do one on one interviews at the Jesmond Dene Hotel with Amanda Staveley. Guess which bald twat is missing from the list. His bessie mate Brucie has gone, His hoop licking buddies Mike and Lee have gone and he now has no one with any knowledge of the clubs plans, finances, etc on his side as he is seen as smarmy, slimey twat. So who exactly told him we had £60m to spend? Bloke writes ****e.
Time for the tissues to come out lads. This is going to be ****ing material. https://www.footballtransfertavern....ham-transfer-news-nunez-villa-united-arsenal/
This lad has massive star potential. We skip an entire season's development if we get him. Guimares, Nunez, Paqueta. There won't be enough sea to hold Edwards' salty tears.
I'm not going to get too hyped over a striker that blitzes the Portugese league till he does it here, or in a tougher league. Too many next big things get touted from Portugal for my liking. Especially if they come from Benfica. Gedson Fernandes being the latest high profile next wonderkid to have flopped spectacularly. There biggest export Joao Felix - 19 goals in 3 years for £113m doesn't seem great business to me either, granted he seems to be finding some form this season.
As much as I'm digging out the Portugese league in the above post, the Paqueta partnership with Brazil looks ****ing awesome and would love that replicated here. I suppose Nunez, Paqueta and Guimares all speak the same tongue so could help each other out easily enough. I just think the striker position is the most vital of the lot this summer and needs proper consideration than wasting £60 - £80m on a gamble. I know we're loaded but we still have to box clever with FFP. Unless of course Everton skip away punishment free in which case we should just go blow the bloody doors off it.
