What do you think of him? I personally believe it's a toss up between him and Wojcech Szczesny as best young keeper in world football at the moment. As you're fans of a team who usually have pretty good keepers, do you think he has the ability to become a great for your club?

IMO, he's totally overhyped by my fellow toon fans. He's nothing special between the sticks, not of the standard of a Dutch international yet, and I have my doubts he ever will be. There are much better keepers out there, and for cheaper than it would cost one of the 'big' clubs to buy Krul. Really, for any of the european regulars to entertain the thought of buying him would be foolish...

They'd have to be really stupid to think of signing him.
 
Krul has been awesome this year.

Szczesny..... Not convinced. Quite error prone, I think he gets a lot of attention because of Arsenal's severe lack of a decent goalie in recent years, but I don't think he's all he's cracked up to be.
 
Krul's reflexes are just phenominal. I remember in one match (can't remember which one exactly) where he lept in one direction to save a shot, and then as it was deflected and kicked back towards goal, he stuck his leg out to block that while he was still in midflight after saving the first shot.

I've never felt more safe with any other keeper in goal to be honest. I just feel very confident in the guy. Yeah he might make one or two bloopers over the coming years like any keeper, but all I know is that once the opposition get past all four defenders, they still have one heck of a challenge to get it past Krul.
