I'm not sure what you're referring to by practically, but someone on twitter recently complained that his elderly dad found he was banned from buying tickets when he came back after the takeover because he'd cancelled his direct debit before the minimum term of his membership years earlier.

In any case, the point really was that a membership is a commitment. Even if there is a way to get around the 12-month minimum term in practice, 99% of people won't try that. They'll just not take it out in the first place if they're not ready to commit.
Apologies

I was talking about the period after the first 12 months. I forgot it was different at first.

After first 12 months you can cancel any time you want

Do you? I thought with the membership you could cancel at any time and just pay an additional month. That was the whole point of the shift wasn't it?

"Memberships offer fans more flexibility too, as they can be cancelled at any time after the initial 12 months, with two months' written notice, and families can add multiple members onto one Membership plan."

So you cant cancel during the first 12 months, but after that you can cancel at any time. So yeah it's a reasonable commitment for a year at 15 quid a match for adults or however it works out.
Your question was whether it was a two month commitment. It’s a minimum 12 month commitment.

Would you pay £30 per month to join Odeon Cinema Membership and go and watch the same ****e film every 2 weeks ?
Because the last 5 home games have been awful entertainment I left at half time when we played Barnsley and I am glad I did it was painful to sit there and watch and nothing much changed in the 2nd half by all accounts.

What a weird outlook on watching the team you support.

I certainly wouldn't pay £30 to watch a film and then leave half way through before I knew how it ended!!!

This is the oddest post to appear on here since Patty decided to do one...

When we win do you stay behind for an extra hour? :emoticon-0100-smile

How bizzare! The saying 'a game of 2 halves' is common for a reason. Unfortunately it didn't happen v Barnsley, but to not even wait a while to see how it unfolded is plain odd. Maybe a wind up?
