Im more concerned with the cost of living crisis potentially killing people than a random nazi turning up on my doorstep to be honest. This current state of affairs will hopefully be the death of the modern Conservative party, unfortunately its going to be at the publics expense.

    Mate, jesus.

I wasn't suggesting a random Nazi was going to turn up on my doorstep.

I think things are deliberately misunderstood on here at times.

Ive made it quite clear Col…from what you said about Bob “taking the piss” and the “weird **** being posted”….I thought you we’re inferring that someone from here could turn up at your door and possibly attack you……make sense now ? (I can’t make it any clearer)
I’m not accusing you of anything and I obviously took your comment out of the jokey context that you meant…but let’s be honest, you’re not particularly a “jokey” person on here, are you ?

I’ve answered this now 3 times…..and explained it now as simply as I can for you……does it now make sense ?

Less winding up and more genuine debate would help that immensely.

No, that's the first time you've explained it.

Not sure you're anything like stupid enough to take what I said to mean that, but hey, I'll take it at face value.

Oh, and it wasn't a 'jokey comment'.
I genuinely found it strange that some people couldn't decide whether the Nazis were good or bad.

And as for your comments about me not being very happy....

    Jesus mate.

I totally agree mate. Ive been guilty of winding up as much as anyone but some are there for the taking. I cant help myself when somebody says they hate liars but openly supports one. Its just pure comedy gold. Anyway im off to pop some more painkillers!

We are all shaped by our experiences and our past, and my past may very well be very different to yours and make me sometimes see the things I see and be somewhat paranoid. Apologies but it’s just a sad fact of life.
Let’s just put it to bed mate and realise it was a misunderstanding. No harm done and we can move on.

You can be very literal at times, Bob! We were debating theoretically.

So let me get this straight, my energy bills as i only have an electric boiler and no gas (i live in a time warp area) has risen by £1200 a year. I dont receive a council tax discount because of the area i live in. So my calculations are this. Im £1200 worse off just in my energy bills each year. The Govt are loaning me £200 which i have to pay back so im still £1200 worse off each year. What a complete and utter piss take.

Then to add injury to insult, April will see a tax rise. All political decisions. People are really going to struggle and surely the economy will take a turn for the worse as nobody will have any spare money to spend.

Problem is, this country had large national debts before the pandemic (remember, austerity came into deal with it?)

The pandemic hit economies had across the world. All those furlough payments etc we were all living in dreamland, payments out and little coming in. (The government does have to chase down fraud, and they can be criticised if they don't.)

Then we get hit by an energy crisis, largely caused by gas prices quadrupling worldwide...and now the Russian invasion of Ukraine which has badly exacerbated it.

So there's all the ingredients there for an economic crisis, not just here but worldwide

We'll see how Sunak will respond later today.
