One thing that surprises me about this Ukrainian issue is the lack of UN involvement.

You'd have thought that Ukraine would have been screaming to have a couple of thousand UN troops patrolling the border with the Donetsk and Lugansk breakaway areas, but not a peep out of them.

And now, since the start of February, Russia have the chair of the UN Security Council - for the first time since October 2020.

I guess there is no surprise that Putin waited until now to make his move!

Personally I would be pressing the UN's full council to suspend Russia from sitting on the UN Security Council until they return those parts of Ukraine that they annexed.

The UN is useless, and can never get round to it because it needs unanimity. Even then, it rarely gets much done. Like the League of Nations before it, it sounds a lot nobler than it is in practice.

Salmon and Galloway both appear on it regularly. Corbyn has recieved thousands from them for " work" done, according to the declarations required of MPs.

Dictators always need useful idiots. These are just three of them.

Many on the left and far left have never in their lives uttered so much as a critical word about the Soviet Union, or Russia. A good number sit today on the opposition benches, and most sitting there , including Corbyn's loyal luitenant Sir Kier Starmer, fought night and day to get Corbyn elected PM just over two years ago, knowing exactly where his sympathies lie

Not really its an absolute joke. They were belittling the Ukraine President as he used to be an actor and Klitschko, because he used to be a boxer.
Their USA reporters are from some weird political movement.

I don't believe most of what comes out of RT the same as I don't take the BBC as gospel.

In fact, after covering up child abuse and sweeping it under the carpet, I'd say the BBC should be closed down long before RT. Don't you think?

It's not rocket science that they will invade Ukraine (already started to) under the guise of protecting their people (separatists) then will form a quick government within days...meanwhile...the west use sanctions <doh>

Iran, North Korea, Cuba, Kazakhstan and surrounding countries. They've got decent back up. Russia and China alone would be formidable.

China wouldn't join Russia and 95% of the world would be on the side of the west.
I predict Russia will anex Ukraine easily because the west will only use sanctions. Sanctions are not enough.
