Dan burn can play left back apparently so if manq is ok assuming Tripps isn’t of course I’d put him there. Failing that I’d have Murphy over krafth any day. How the **** he’s a Swedish international is beyond me…..there must literally be no other Swedish players ****ter than him!

We have Targett left. But Manq looked worse than Trips to me. Looked like ligament or achillies the way he was hobbling.

I’d prob play Lascelles and move Schar to right back personally. Schar is a good footballer and understands the press.

I’d prefer Schar and Burn. But if we lose Trips and Manq, I’m not happy risking Krafth. He’s far more of a liability than Lascelles and at least he’s in form. I don’t know if I’d class Schar as top centre back as he makes too many goal costing errors. But he’s certainly in our top three and Lascelles isn’t. But needs must just to avoid Krafth.

I wouldn't have left him out. I can only assume Howe thought he'd get 6 months playing time under his belt out on loan

Trippier was only at the hospital 20 minutes which must mean it was too swollen to X ray

Or that the doc he saw was just like my dad and told him to "stop whinging - there's nowt wrong with it!"

When I was a kid, I once had eleven months of being called a hypochondriac by my dad for limping before finally getting my leg put in plaster because I had a broken knee!!

So Trips got stood on (lad accidentally landed on his foot) at the end of the first half.

He came out 2nd half and knew he couldn’t carry on so to me it sounds like either a broken bone in his foot or a sprained ankle maybe?

A broken bone would often be so immediately painful that there would be no attempt to play through it. I'm hoping for just a badly bruised foot, though knowing how things tend to run for us with injuries I expect the worst.

That's not correct. Swelling doesn't prevent the leg from being x-rayed.
If there was a fracture I'd guess his lower leg would be in a cast.

I’ve had broken bones in my foot and played on (Sunday league I know but still) and didn’t realise it was broken until afterwards. The pain was bad mind.

Either way it’s something that will keep him out for a couple of weeks.

It did when I broke my ankle. I was told to come back when the swelling had gone down.

That was because you were over-excited to see the nurse.

In which case I would have been able to see the nurse a few moments later
