Fleming won 17 out of 18 ground duels today. That’s an insane amount for one game. For instance Bernard has won 44 in 22 games.
He has been outstanding in the 2 games. I can’t see a fit again Elder getting back in at LB.

That is insane. In the two games he’s played, he’s shown he can do both sides of the wing-back role well. He’s better going forward than Elder and better defensively than Longman and KLP. He reminds me of Dudgeon before he got injured.

Poor ref. I've never seen that many PNE fans before, even in Preston. They gave the team a real edge. Wonder if any decisions will be made to move the away fans from behind the North Stand goal ? Because today it was like playing at home for them in the second half. I think it influences the officials too.

I was thinking that UP... they were definitely a 12th man and as Chazz said it was eerily quiet...
You're right but it'd be too sensitive to move fans again now. When they first did it under Steve Bruce's suggestion it might've been a good idea, but it became such a mess that the idea of moving those fans yet again is just such a can of worms it wouldn't be worth it.
Sorry... have to disagree... at season end I think a choice should be given. Their support made a difference yesterday...

Ref was shocking all afternoon. Blowing for nothing and letting fouls go. Their disallowed goal should have stood. Players got booked due to frustration at his (lack of) decisions at times. PNE fans were tremendous. They weren't a bad side even though it looked like a demolition job the way we started.

I felt for Eaves yesterday. The ref was terrible with him. Every time he was near a Preston player he gave a foul. Yet the took him out a couple of times and nothing.
This is such a regular issue, it's obviously Eaves that's the issue. When you commit as many fouls as he does, so consistently and in so many different games, you have to at some point take responsibility and try to alter your game accordingly.
Ah it’s Eaves fault again ffs.
He did foul or got pulled up for 50/50’s more than in recent games . His fouling reduced massively this season so obviously had been worked on.
Maybe he got frustrated at the state of the match and the treatment he was getting .
Our midfield was non existent and Eaves played on his own isolated
On a different note. Why does anyone think KLP can play wing back , he cannot defend or tackle he is an absolute finisher !! He should be edge of or in the box - he gets shots away very quickly .
