Don’t think we can until he’s 17, but I may be wrong.

You are correct, but we could have an agreement in principle. Seems to be fairly common...players sign on their 17th birthday with enough regularity that those deals are presumably worked out in advance.

And while it's hard to judge strikers at the U18 level based on their goal scoring, simply because bigger/faster players can dominate only to get exposed a touch as they progress, his numbers with the U21s are pretty damned good for a 16 year old, too.

How much do people know about his height and speed? I saw a video clip where he didn’t seem to fit the “bigger” category and he also didn’t seem rapid in a “flying winger” sense.

I have no idea. He looked reasonably tall but not Gallagher-big in highlights I've seen. Mostly just cautioning that eye-popping goal tallies in the U18s aren't always super-meaningful...otherwise David McGoldrick would have a statue out front. That he's putting up numbers in the U21s as a first-year scholar is a bit more rare, though.

What? This is the Saints board. Do you not understand that we're 100% definitely dealing with the hybrid Channon-Shearer? Come on Schad!!!

Probably get poached..

I feel like we are close to the point where most great young players will choose the Southampton academy again.

We realistically are the best path way to the champions league clubs in England as long as our new owners keep us competitive in the PL with the occasional signing.

We seemed to falter slightly over the last few years, but I believe we can get that conveyor belt restarted
