Rumours are that three managers have interviews for the position today. Personally I cannot believe that the owners had not made a few enquiries at the very least prior to getting rid of Sven. Faz hinted at this and rumours get round the football world very quickly with agents and pros alike talking. Judging by Sven's post match interview I think he knew this too. However, who are those on teh short list? My money is on

MON, Billy Davies and Mark Hughes. MON would be great, Billy good, but not sure about Hughes.

The owners saw that despatches report and put up an official statement denying that Mr Sim had anything to do with buying Leicester, therefore they would have seen Brian Robsons dirty dealings, i severly doubt that they would even consider him tbh.

Managers I would like;

MON
Clark
Davies
Hughes

Managers that can jog on;
McLaren
Robson
That fat bloke who was at Cardiff last year, forgotten his name.

Italian football is boring. Thats part of the reason why England are so **** to watch. Fabio Capello gets them playing boring football

A couple of weeks ago Serie A had 6 games and only two goals.

5 0-0 draws and a 2-0 away win <laugh>

Dave Jones

He is nothing but a nearly man, he will get us close to promotion but would fail at the last herdle

For me i want Martin O'Neill but i dont think he would come so i would take Mark Hughes

I can't understand why people keep saying billy davies .he has failed twice at forest..do we want a forest reject?...dave jones makes pearson look like peter kaye..also failed twice at cardiff... this is the problem,most of the candidates have failed and been sack elsewhere...most but not all...........mmmmm

The poisoned dwarf is proven to be honest. Yes we all hate him but we hated Speedie. Davies fell out with Forest as they wouldn't give him the promised funds. He's a good shout if MON comes to nothing. He'd make sure ****ing egotistical players turned up on time for training!

Don't think Dave Jones would be that bad a choice. Comes in that category with Davies of nearly men who have always come close but never quite got there and when they have, they've not done well.

The outstanding candidates for me are (in order of preference):
O'Neill
Hughes
Clark
Davies
Jones

Two decent outside bets would be Robinson and Freedman and Curbishley not a bad call either.

What as Mark Hughes achieved? walked out on Blackburn to go to Man City which left a bitter
taste in the Old Trafford fans that idolised him as a player! got sacked.
Went to Fulham, and just walked out on them when he thought he might get a bigger job!

No thank you, would not want him at KP so that he could use us to enlarge his already over inflated ego.
