I've just looked and he had an operation on a tumour in March, but he's carried on as Thailand boss.

Would the Thai's be considering Roy Keane? I only ask as he would be famous and well known in Asia! I should state that he'd not be my choice but I think MON won't, Billy Davis would but probably not high profile enough and Mark Hughes left Fulham and they are in a much better position than us! Ah well whoever it is I'll welcome them :D

    :)

Actually, Di Matteo was praised for his attacking football at West Brom, he's not your typical Italian. For me:

1st choice: MON - obvious choice but unlikely

2nd choice: Di Matteo - Young and ambitious, plays ambitious attractive football to suit, charismatic, calm but passionate, got WBA promoted, but sacked a few months later.

3rd choice: Clark - Same as above - ambitious and passionate but likes to play football too, Huddersfield play nice football and are very hard to beat, not a fan of their defending though, unproven at this level, will he cope/put up with bug names?

4th choice: Davies - Got Derby up but then failed miserably, got Forest from relegation candidates to automatic promotion candidates in a short space of time, likes to play pacey attacking football, complained about lack of investment but will have it here, whinged too much about it and this led to Forest bottling it twice I feel. Gets his players playing for him generally though.

Hughes doesn't excite me at all. He's never got a team promoted, has done decent jobs at Fulham and Blackburn but has never actually been 'successful' anywhere. I have a bad feeling he'll get it but he'd be an uninspiring choice in more ways than one.

After the early betting last night MON as eased out to now best price 6/4 only Hills go odds on still.
Mark Hughes is into best price 10/3 from 12/1
Lee Clark & Billy Davies are available at around 7/1
Others to have there price cut today, Roy Keane, Carlo Ancelotti, Rafeal Benitez 25/1 into 8/1 with Sky Bet.

So it would appear that the three being bet are MON, Mark Hughes & Benitez.

    O'Neil
    Di Matteo
    Hughes.

only ones that excite me. In that order. Hughes in this division would be a winner.

Top said he has had over 100 applications so there's no shortage of people to pick from. Must be a few decent names among them. Still think he should and try for MON before going for anyone else through.
