Yeh if Xhemajli and Almond are fit and able then they replace Alves and Younger as back ups; and Batth replaces Flanagan, I’m happy with that!

Going to be a long bastard of a day today mind. Luckily I am off-site doing some external stuff so shouldn't be a heavy office day !

Only complaint I have is that we are extremely light at the back

Should've kept Younger, said it at the time. Get some more injuries at centre back and we're ****ed tbf.

Overall, a good window I think. The players that have come in look like an improvement on the ones that have gone out. I'm not convinced that we've addressed the areas that need addressing though. I'm pleased with Matete but, from what I can see, he looks more like an 8 than the 4 we really needed.

Don't think it's as bad as people are making out really. Bart is flanno replacement and a massive upgrade. The others you mention didn't play anyway. We have Arby who is back to fitness. Untested agree but no more so than younger.

Also, if needed I see LO9 being told to get back in like. Verbal agreement of CM only will die as LJ is a goner.

I think he will be the signing of the window. What's the league one transfer record ?

Almond out on loan, but we may have a recall clause.

Batth, Wright and Doyle. Xhemajli possibly. Whether that is enough to play 3 at the back time will tell.

I didn't say he's not a good player, in fact, I said that I was pleased with him. What I did say is that he's a different kind of player to the one that we really needed. What's the League 1 transfer record got to do with anything?

I wonder whether the thinking is that the likes of Hume and Cirkin or even someone like Winchester would be able to play as one of the wider CBs

None of those outgoing players will be a miss imo. Flanagan maybe, but always a mistake in him and unlikely to be given a new contract in the Summer. Always gave his all and wish him well.

I really didn't rate flanno at all. He wasn't getting a new deal so fair play.
