I didn't say he's not a good player, in fact, I said that I was pleased with him. What I did say is that he's a different kind of player to the one that we really needed. What's the League 1 transfer record got to do with anything?

The Fleetwood fans have described as “more like NKante than Fabinho” so I’d be seeing that more as a 4 than an 8, personally.

Well that's good then. He doesn't seem to have played many games in that role though and he seem to like a charge forward. I suppose we'll see once he starts for us.

“plays deep but always likes to play forward”.

Seems to be the perfect partner in there to get the ball and quickly transition it or carry it up the field to give is to our creative players

I think we’ve left ourselves too light at the back and it’s a risk. The club clearly wanted another one in (unless there was nothing in the Moore and Kongolo links) so they’ll know it too.

Fingers crossed our abysmal injury record of the last couple of years has gone with Johnson.

Where's that quote from, or are you paraphrasing me? When he signed, I had look round at what I could find online and that all indicated that he was played more as an 8. Looks like a very good player but not the 4 we really needed. Its not a big deal, just an observation.

it’s from either the Roker report article with the fleetwood fan, or the video linked to in that story which is him going into more detail

I know it’s not a big deal; I’m just trying to reassure you that from what I’ve read he’s exactly what we need (differing options of course)

Pleased with the incomings but there is no getting away from it we have left ourselves light across the squad unless we bring in frees.

Lovely news to wake up to.

We have definitely strengthened this window and Matete and Roberts on paper are brilliant long term signings.

I’m nervous as heck about centre back. Hope Xhemajli is as fit and as good as we want him to be!!!

O’nien is nearly fit again - no worries him playing in a back 3 personally or being cover at c.back.
