Now all we need is Nigel Clough as manager ! Will there be more surprises ? update, heard that Roy Keane coming back as well too good to be true. Could it be possible that Super kev be our next manager ! Steve Bruce could take the South Shields job lol.

A reliable mate has told me Defoe is at the AOL this morning, hence my post.

It would give the place a boost whether or not he plays much imo ...

... and an example to the younger players.

I agree mate, I'll still wait for the SAFC announcement but a mate has seen him at the AOL so I'm getting carried away.

Hopefully they're waiting to make it joint a announcement alongside a defensive midfielder and new manager, at the very least.

I’m not adverse to this but it shows how far we’ve sunk when the signing of a 39 year old has us giddy with excitement.
Keane back and I just might pour myself a half though!

  15. Well, you can't deny JD coming back would give us a lift. I agree with your Keano comment though.....but I think you're a bit stingy with just a half!:emoticon-0105-wink:

Not for me. Out of the game far too long. Not succeeded anywhere since SAFC either.

Don’t think he could handle players nowadays. Also don’t think his temperament could handle a 24 year old lad as his boss!

    Clough and Kev hopefully not.
Like them both and nostalgic but have to be realistic in terms of ambition going forward.

Keane, yes. Wow factor alone would probably get us up again :D
