I was at Stamford Bridge that day, absolutely cringing ...

... just look at how the Sunderland players respect him.

Makes you wonder why the likes of Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney can get managers jobs with no experience but he went to Villa for whatever reason and still can't get on the manager's ladder. Crawled back to Chelsea to do whatever he's doing now.

Why do you think LJ was a laughing stock amongst the players ?
Brought mcgeady back in and he seemed to back him, also many other players improved under him.

I personally don't think the "hate LJ" helps. I think the bloke tried hard, was passionate about the club and I wish him well.

Hopefully now we improve on what we had.

I'll always back a manager but would find it difficult to back him.

    I think that’s harsh.
Adams you always a bit out there and Campbells persecution complex would have any chairman running a mile.
Terry could well be a failure who knows but if he is I don’t think it will be because our owners have reinvented the wheel.

It's a sympathy job mate, he has no credibility in the game outside of Chelsea.

And you think that's a good enough reason to give him the job of getting Sunderland up the leagues.

Why would he instantly command the respect of the Sunderland players?

I think he is a coaching consultant at Chelsea. Imagine that, a consultant coach. Consultants ususally are experts in their field having years of know how built up. How does he have anything to offer? Jobs for the boys. I too wouldnt want his sort of character near our club.

Every manager could be a failure l, there are no guarantees:
He’d command respect due to a stellar playing career, that goes a long way:
    Who do you fancy?

    I'm a home management consultant ...

... occasionally Mrs Smug will ask what colour I think we should paint the living room.

I tell her, she ignores me and we carry on happily.

Who respects Steve Bruce, Tony Adams or Gascoigne ...

... I wouldn't have any of them putting out cones despite their 'stellar playing careers'.

I'd pay Burnley, a club in trouble, a decent fee to take Dyche.

He has experience in various leagues and wouldn't tolerate the slack attitude I witnessed on Saturday.

How would he command respect, most players had no time for him after the Wayne Bridge incident.

Who do you want as manager?

If we could get Grabban, Clarke-harris or Gayle from Newcastle wow we mean business.

Terry completely different to them. Gascogne comparison ridiculous.
Why would a bloke drop from premier league to league 1? Also there isn’t any evidence to suggest this regime has the financial clout to bully premier league clubs.
I’d be over moon with Dyche but that’s mags levels of delusion that I’m afraid.

Completely misreading the point of the post. The point is that Dyche commands more respect than Terry ever would. Despite not having as illustrious a playing career

Edit. Seems I misread the post too!!!

I asked who he fancied, he said Dyche. I wasn’t asking who would command the most respect, if that’s what he was answering that certainly wasn’t the intention of my question.

Yeah I misread his post. But he said he would pay for dyche. He didn’t say he’d expect it to happen

I don’t know who I want tbh. None of the names have screamed “future of safc” fir me.
