got to be quite an incentive though, comparing the two it would seem the championship offers a possible tripling of wages...little bit cynical maybe but i dare say there is an element of truth in it.

It includes salaries of every single sport, it won't all be correct but it won't be far off imo.

Big day today transfer wise. Not heard anything. Need a second striker, maybe also a third urgently if AOB goes, and a second left back. I’m in 2 minds on the midfielder - I’d like to replace Evans for less injured fitter version but if we get another without losing a player we may have too many. Maybe an under 23 on the way up.

We still need a RB. That needs to be number 1

It does feel like it’s time to play Hume.

After another drubbing yesterday where midfield were non existent the need for a big ****house of a central midfielder couldn’t be more stark. No one currently at the club can fill that role. They’re all too lightweight to compete properly with the people they’re coming up against. I really hope we have an “out of the blue” signing lined up to sort this out but I can’t see it.

Agree with this. Striker or 2 also as Stewart is very isolated.

Throwing Hume into a back 4 with Doyle and cirkin is asking for trouble. We need experience in there desperately

I’m clinging onto Batth being out of the blue here. Agreed on this point, it’s been evident that we’ve needed one since we came down, yet we’ve persisted with weak, short arses.

    No, defending that yesterday. Gutted.

Only way I see Johnson leaving is if we don't get promoted this year.

Yeah. Plan was always the season. We will still win against dross at home to tick us to play offs unfortunately.

If it was me making it. He would be gone now.

    Absolutely.

There’s a clear pattern under Johnson and it won’t ever get us up.

Agreed. Not a fan of his management or record. However, we need to back the team to do as well as possible this year. Hopefully it's enough to get promoted. Fingers crossed.

Also, not hearing enough about transfers for tomorrow. Fingers crossed for another defender, midfielder and forward. Maybe see two out as well.

    Have you heard anything?

By no means am I defending Johnson this pattern happens far too often, but who realistically could we get? Be that now or the summer?

Not sure a lack of alternatives should be the reason we keep him. There will undoubtedly be a long list of managers interested in the job if he DOES go. My guess would be a foreign name from Bundesliga 2 that none of us have heard of. That seems to be the model for so many clubs these days

I'm sure there are managers out there mate, there has to be. Even, as someone alluded to, Big Sam and we offer him a decent contract for the 6 months with a big juicy bonus IF he gets us up.

It's times like that where the backroom staff who are paid to find the right one, show why they are employed to do that job.
