Aye, that's a bit steep for the return we get from him. Honest lad and a grafter but that's too much imo.
looking at them wages, you would think players would be busting a few guts to get out of div 3 and try to get themselves a canny wage hike, what are championship wages like compared to div 3 i wonder?
of course they are, no idea where my head was at marra... just looked at chamionship and pritchard is still on there at 23k per week i think it was, compare that to his 'now' wage and you start to see how good the new recruitment team are doing.
If that's info is true I would be very surprised if Stewart isn't negotiating a new contract right now
Think they may hove sold the idea to him that if he helps to get us up he'd see a similar rise in The Chamionship. Hence, when they say 'I've come here to get this club back where they belong" they mean their wages!! #cynical
Very cynical to be honest mate. Shows a desire to kick start their careers thatvthey are willing to take a step down in leagues and wages to Starr to play consistently. For me it shows the club are going for the right attitude in a player too. Can you imagine the mercenaries we were signing under Short doing that? They all wanted more money as a sweetener for playing for us!
On the other hand though they will have already thought that if they get us promoted they can negotiate a bit more money! We want them to have that confidence in themselves and the club so not completely cynical
