I've supported Johnson all season, even during the bad patch we had earlier. However , there comes a tipping point. At this stage of the season playing a rank average side and getting gubbed 6-0 may well be that point. He picks the team, he coaches them, he motivates them. The buck stops with him. I now have serious doubts, that was simply embarrassing for our club and those amazing supporters who went down there.

Never been in the LJ out camp... but after today and earlier this season.

KLD has a decision to make!

This is what worries me. We all know KLD will not sack him.
I agree that we can't just keep on sacking managers but yesterday was a massive tipping point for me. Portsmouth, Rotherham, SW and now the mighty Bolton. Probably more to come.
All this with a squad that is probably the best in L1.

How many times do we need to be out muscled in games before it’s addressed ? He’s had plenty of opportunity to address it now but hasn’t which suggests he doesn’t see it as a problem, blokes a clown.

I think it’s too late to ditch him, we won’t get a credible head coach who could do the business (any coach now will try to change to much in my opinion with the free card of “there wasn’t much time left in the season and this wasn’t my team” and promotion will be a certain write off.

At least with sticking with Lee until the end it’s his team, his way of doing things so he will either get us promoted or fall on his sword.

Well that’s two great choices you’ve put forward. Cheers!

It’s like this for me. He’s / the run/form’s not not bad enough to just sack outright but it’s clear he has flaws he can’t put right which will cost us automatic, so when they have the right replacement available they do it (after the window’s closed)

Small sample size, but the current poll results are revealing. Especially seeing this is very much the “calmer” of the two main forums. I won’t even dare enter RTG :D

I wouldn’t be so sure that KLD won’t act. There’s a difference between jumping in at the first bad run and taking your time and making a call at the right time. I’m glad he isn’t scattergun like the Watford ownership.

I still think that the fact the window closes tomorrow will have an impact on him not going.

Even if the majority of transfer work is done above him, and even if our new system should allow for easy management changes - the perception of disarray that it sends is a consideration. Players won’t want to sign not knowing who their new manager is.

It's clear to me he won't get us top 2. Very clear. A new manager might. Worth rolling the dice for me. Have seen LJ bottle the play offs last year so add that to the mix.

I tend to agree having given yesterday’s dust time to settle - driving back was weird, not gutted, just baffled really - Johnson’s literally got everything he could influence wrong yesterday from formation, tactics, selection, substitutions and their timing. He deserves a 0 out of 10 for yesterday as much as the worst performing player for me. A bad day and I think the signs are there will be others as he doesn’t seem to do self reflection and learning from mistakes - see us conceding goals from our own corners 2 games running from the Lincoln home game as an example.
