Also, in terms of Vlahovic, you're overlooking something: Fiorentina hate Juventus and have for decades, and on top of that their fans' track record when Fiorentina sell players to Juve isn't particularly pleasant, with them literally rioting when they sold Roberto Baggio to Juve to the point bricks and molotov cocktails were thrown at the club's offices, while the only reason the club escaped similar wrath when Federico Bernardeschi made the same move was because Bernardeschi did a Judas

So with that in mind, that does give Fiorentina options: do they risk their stadium being burned down by selling Vlahovic to Juve, or do they have valid reason to consider another option that is available to them?

This aged well <laugh>

If we tell them how good he is for Argentina we might have a chance of making it happen…

Honestly with someone in his position I think there’s mileage in just bringing his replacement in and threatening him with the U23s to force him out. He’s clearly desperate to play for his country with the World Cup coming up.

Same as how Spurs got him then. What a mistake to make that loan permanent <doh>

At the time he’d been decent and had a run of games at the end of that season where he was one of our better players. Everything since has been ****. Who’d buy him now, unfortunately?

He was a lot better than he has been since but I still don’t think he did enough to make the deal permanent. Big mistake by Jose Mourinho

I also think we always intended to make it permanent but the loan-to-buy structure was part of Betis wanting to game the sell-on clause they owed to PSG.

That wasn’t on Jose to be fair. We paid a £15m loan fee with the intention to make it permanent regardless of who the manager would’ve been. We can thank Poch for picking him over Fernandes though.

Do you think it was possible that spurs, who had come back from 3-0 down in the semi final to go through could not possibly come back against Liverpoool with 10 minutes to go?

Do you not think Origi who got a goal that 9 other outfield liverpool players didn't get, contributed to the win and make the game "safe"? You're right another striker could have bagged a hat trick but the likes of salah, mane, kane, son and some of the best players in the world couldn't score another one until origi came on to seal it.
What happened is in the history books and it turned out a good call by Klopp but most managers with a 1-0 lead and not long to go wouldn't even have considered Origi but brought on an extra defender.
Origi did his job that day and scored but he clearly isn't anywhere near Liverpool's first team now despite being the only real striker they have.

Kulusevski is back at the front of the queue

So an obvious improvement on Traore due to having actual output, but somehow feels like a letdown after the brief flirtation with Diaz - which mainly got scuppered by the fact Salah is acting like a tart in contract negotiations

Loan with a €30m obligation to buy, according to TuttoMercato
