OK apologies, lost my head a bit.
I just don't get why some don't seem to understand such a simple point, and continue to seem to want to defend Allam spouting BS.
We are not debt free, simple as.
(And by the way, I'm actually not aggressive, nor a twat or no mark as you would see if you knew me, which actually you might, but that's maybe for another day).

We may or may not be debt free, nobody knows yet for certain.

Having written off all debt to Allamhouse, Assem is technically correct in claiming he sold the club debt free.

The fact that the new owner is almost certainly now bringing his own debt, isn’t his problem.

Adam Pearson brought his own debt but no one complained. He made money in the end due to advancing the club's fortunes. Let us hope Acun does the same. And this deal is certainly better for the club than the one that was used to buy the club off Pearson.

Until the accounts are published we'll have no idea whether we're debt free. However there are a number of ways Allamhouse could have been paid, some of which would leave us debt free in the sense Urika means. Technically a limited company is never debt free as it owes money to its shareholders for the value of their share holding.

Acun could have personally paid the debt to Allamhouse and not transferred the amount to City. We would be debt free. Its not a gift as the value of the club rises if it doesn't have any debt and he would expect to get his money back when he sells City.

Acun could put the money he's paid to Allamhouse into a share premium account. Again we would be debt free.

Acun could increase the share capital by the amount he's paid Allamhouse and again we could be debt free.

Finally he could lend City the money to repay the debt to Allamhouse in which case City would not be debt free.

Its his choice and he'll have made that decision in a way the suits him and his plans for City.

It's how it works, so why wouldn't it be in his company name? Allamhouse, Coolsilk, Otium Entertainment Group, et al, all company names for owners. :emoticon-0100-smile
 
Just looking forward with a bit of optimism, but as we all know things can change and I know I'm clutching at straws here but if in the future things did go wrong I don't think Acun would go down the Allam route as he is TV personality and he wouldn't want the bad publicity
