Just had a quick look…..very powerful voice and I’m guessing has been compared to Joplin in her style and sound. I like it

Not saying this is the case with Chumbawamba, but I think that many bands have got one good (or if they are lucky, great) album in them and the rest is dross. Quite a few writers the same, and film directors. Actors, because they are using others peoples stuff, can do more great things if they have the talent and choose the right jobs.

Anybody who produces more than a couple of stand out things which are not simply repetitions of their first effort deserves huge respect.

Good point mate…..great artists and bands can adapt their style throughout the years…..like Chumbawamba and Hawkwind. But sadly still (using those two as I know their stuff), people only know them for 1 song.
Bowie was another who could transverse styles throughout his career but luckily was always good at marketing his stufff so it remained popular. His best stuff, in my opinion was just as he was dying.
Lazarus still makes me tearful every time I see and hear it.

I found their record in a 'bargain bin' the other day... it'd been knocked down.

Apparently its at the end of the song... she says something about going off with other women or something. I may have a listen now.
