Sorry I’m a bit late for this but I’ve actually been invited by a contact in my industry to attend a gathering before the funeral though we of course have to leave for the ‘main event’. I’ll be gone when the mourning comes.

RIP Barry Cryer. Most of the celebrity deaths recorded here mean little to me, but every now and then one hits home. This is one of those. A wonderfully talented writer and seemed like a genuinely nice man.
Really sad news. One of the most prolific comedy writers of his or any other era. A really top guy as well...
