I'd imagine once City & Troyes have sorted out their deal for him, which shouldn't even be that difficult, considering Troyes are apart of City's 'City Football Group'....

He'd be sporting the Red and White scarf.

Yeah just want it announced along with a striker and a big strong midfielder. I know I’m greedy. :emoticon-0136-giggl

roberts was being held up by the french dicking about i read somewhere?

defoe is a bit of a 'dream' signing, while we would all love to see him back in the red and white of sunderland the lad is now at a very important part of his life...he loves playing and has looked after himself so there is no doubting that side, on the other side he will now be looking to his future and if, as stated, he wants to end his playing days in front of a good crowd then that should put us at the forefront but his playing days won't be around for much longer so my guess is he will be looking much further ahead.

anyway, good luck to the lad whatever he chooses, he deserves a good future for the sheer professionalism (on and off the pitch) he has shown wherever he played.

Disappointing if we don't get JD because I think it'd have been a massive boost to everyone. I really don't want to see him go to an Oxford or whoever because hes an asset.

He might get bits and bobs but I’ve never seen him get anything right. The German consortium debacle was the first and last time i believed a word he said.

I agree, I remember the German consortium 5 years ago, and him having dinner with Derek NcInnes... Always took whatever he said since then with a very large punch of salt.

I think Mad Bob's problem is that he does or did hear stuff, but that he's not as well connected as he thinks he is. The takeover proved that when he was insisting it wasn't a takeover despite everything others were saying. I think it was down to his contacts not telling him stuff, so when he didn't hear anything important he dismissed the takeover because he thought he was well in enough to be told what was going on.

I can believe that until recently he had enough contacts who told him stuff going on, but now the club appear to be more "professional" rather than "sociable" in their dealings he probably hears less than ever. That might be why he has a downer on KLD. I also think he's been used by some in the past to spread a bit of mis information with out knowing it, what Stalin used to call a "useful idiot".
