I wanted us to sign Marquis at some point relatively recently, not now though. Must have been pre Dreyfus when we were struggling for options.
We tried to sign him before we signed Grigg didn’t we? And he wanted stupid money.
we were linked when he was at Donny I'm sure.
Rings a bell, probably would have been better than Grigg but that's a pretty low bar.
Marquis wanted to triple his wages or something, so we said no.

Would be a strange one given how much he’s still playing for them, but from our point of view it’s a brilliant signing for League One.
