Interesting that Rotherham have recalled Curtis Tilt from Wigan. Risky of them to do to Wigan what we could do to them... they've opened the moral door for that.
Swansea want Stewart. No way should we be selling him now (obviously). But if he keeps going the way he is, I can see teams being willing to pay £10m+ for him, and if we don't go up then he may well want to go. Promotion obviously important on so many levels, but for once its actually important to keep the players we want to keep. Last season I don't think any of us were that fussed if any of the players left. This year I'd be worried that no promotion would mean we'd lose Steward, Neil, Embleton and Pritchard.
He had a fairly long injury but has played quite a bit recently, until all their postponements of course. don't think he's first choice centre back though
That certainly puts a difference slant on things . Theyve obviously done it to weaken them. Defence was their weak area pre season so that will be a blow for them.
Of course he will....along with a number of others. No-one can be under any illusion. Everyone connected to the club needs promotion this season....the fans,players,staff,management,owners...everyone. Anything less is complete failure. I'm not allowing any thoughts of not going up this season to enter my world....the consequences are just unthinkable.
Not really, they have quite a few games between now and then with a Defender short. He'd have been available for them all if he'd have stayed.
Xhemajli will most likely be cover for Doyle being left footed. Still need a right footed CB like Flint who we have been linked with.
He could cover for Flanagan but we might need him playing RB until Hume is up to speed or Huggins is back from his injury.
Today was the last day Rotherham had to recall him. They want to sell him but Wigan were a little way off the valuation. I suspect they'll buy him and he'll be back there by the end of the month.
