I just hope we can sign Roberts. Even if that's the only deal other than Trai Hume. Oh and send Alves back. If Roberts is a loan he could have Alves slot.

Any chance tgis Roberts deal could be permanent? dont see whats in a loan for City as hes a free in the summer, if they sold to us for a small fee with large sell on percentage they could get decent money back if he does well

I think the gamble is more on our side mate if it was permanent. He's flattered to deceive up till now but I'd love it to be permanent. Maybe a 1and a half year deal with an option to extend. He seems a perfect fit for us.

reading we are after Freddie ladapo Rotherham striker and McGeady leaving the club. Ladapo a good player, will Grigg come back and score 20 goals for us i doubt it, Alves should go back to WHU, Grigg to any club.

I don't rate Ladapo. I'd far rather we went for Smith if we are shopping in Rotherham.

More thinking they could be thinking ahead to next season if the deals right to keep that blend. would think 3/4 of those players will leave in summer, McGeady may have played his last game?
True but I think we’ll be looking at a bit of proven championship quality if we’re promoted. Ladapo has never really looked any better than top half of league one.

Ladapo is much more suited to our style, he runs in behind

He's a great forward at this level. Quick and strong, plus 1 in 4 in the Championship shows he could do a job level above.

I am not sure you want a young player as a backup to Stewart, unless they can play from wide (like Broadhead) I don't want someone to be "working it out" down the stretch

All irrelevant as not a sniff Rotherham will sell to us.

At 28 (hes 29 next month) and you're probably looking at a 2 and a half year deal for him to br interested, hes going to be 32 by the time thats up and theres little to no resale value there.

I can't see us going for that at all. We'll look for either a loan or a younger option with similar terms to Cirkin, Huggins, T Hume etc

We’re not going to only sign young players and LJ has said as much.

A young player is not going to get much game time to improve as back up to Stewart

I think we'll end up with a higher level loan.

If Ladapo has Champo interest he isnt coming here to play second fiddle. I think its a dud all round really, we'll be looking elsewhere and Rotherham wouldn't sell to us.

Mag isn’t he smith? Sure he was giving it the biggun and doing the shearer celebration against us
It doesn't bother me one bit. Lee Clark was a mag and he was great for us. Don Hutchison is also a mag and he's one of my favourite ever players for Sunderland.
