it would, not that we want grigg back, but recalling him right now causes them a problem & its a negotiation tool....as well as him being simply a right 'tool'

Doesn't seem to fit with the type of player we seem to be looking for however he is approaching his peak really being 28 and would be a decent signing.

Also depends on what the statistics are showing, the club may see something worth taking a punt on…even just to help us get promoted.

It could all be bollocks like!

Yesterday showed imho we need a Broadhead replacement. Who? Not a clue

No chance that Ladapo link is true. Utter nonsense.

  1. rotherham won’t sell to a rival
  2. He’s not at a low ebb in terms of reputation, will be high fee vs value
  3. He clearly wants a championship move

Agreed

However we need Broadhead's replacement in ASAP... not having him probably cost us 2 points yesterday, with poor first touches resulting in missed chances.

He's out of contract end of season.

I get the feeling we might employing the dark arts with Rotherham, of we chuck in a bid and make it known we are interested (e en if we don't sign him) and recall Grigg we might disrupt them a little bit.

Score 3 goals away from home you expect to win, scoring wasnt a problem yesterday.
We missed chances so I’d say they were. I get your point of course but has we scored 5 we’d have had the three points and i’d say we could have done so.

Both valid points if you score 3, you should be winning but also we could have had a bad day defending and still won.

The bad touch by Embo and Gooch could have been a goal given a better touch, Evans could have scored if he lifted over the keeper, Stewart could have had one or two more if he did a bit better with the one he put over the bar (I expected him to score when it was going in to him) and then you have Embo hitting the bar and the goal line clearance.

Wycombe are right up there with us and given their style we're always going to cause problems especially with the keeper and Wright out, as much as I like Winchester I think Wright would have been the option for them yesterday.

If we carry on creating chances like we have recently we will a few more wins.

Think its important we mix it also to be fair if we think hes a good fit & a good price. appreciate he doesnt fit our model....but surely we cant have the full squad full of young players or those trying to rebuild their career. a blend is needed amongst our model

Agree there needs to be a blend but we actually have lots of experience across the squad, Burge, Wright, Flanagan, O’Nien, Winchester, Evans, Pritchard and McGeady all very experienced at this level and often above.

Just a lazy link I think

I said earlier on in the thread, Football League World generally just regurgitate stuff from social media and do sone 1 + 1 guess work. It's basically a football gossip site and a lot of its articles are vague, bits of guess work or option pieces dressed up as reports, probably to get clicks.

Looking at how we've done business since KLD took over, Lapadu doesn't fit any of the characteristics we've been looking at. He's 29 in a few weeks, limited experience at a higher level (1 championship season last season and 1 premier league game in 3 seasons at Crystal Palace), has spent most of his career in league 1 or sub Conference level. His career shows a roughly 1 in 3 goal scoring record, which isn't to be knocked, but at his age is probably at his peak right now and unlikely to develop much further. If he was 22 - 24 with development potential, or was someone with a good number of games and performances at a higher level (like Evans or Pritchard) based on our new data and metrics method I could see it, but not like this. It just doesn't fit how we're trying to operate. This article feels more like someone putting 2 + 2 together and throwing it out there.

More thinking they could be thinking ahead to next season if the deals right to keep that blend. would think 3/4 of those players will leave in summer, McGeady may have played his last game?
