My (toffee) mate watched the game with me and while we appreciated the long distance shots of the stadium, he was a bit confused at why it was so dark all around the stadium. I explained on one side is parkland which made sense, but was also explaining how on the other there's a lot of wasted land which really should be developed given the opportunities with the stadium.
Look **** stirrer when was the last you were in the stadium ?
The "Wasted Land" is not going to be developed for a very long time, if ever as it is not cost effective. A protected species of newt was discovered on the land and this virtually makes any development impractical as the cost of getting planning permission will be huge. A full survey of the habitat will be needed. The land is fully enclosed buy railway lines (hence The Triangle) and it has no modern infrastructure. This has been the subject of many threads and discussions in the past and I am surprised that you didn't know the answer.
Things have changed a bit since then pal, even the name of the stadium. But do keep banging the negativity drum after one of the best football games for years and the club about to announce new owners. Lets just concentrate on the bird **** instead.
I cannot get my head around your thought process either. 'It's great that this effort is being put elsewhere' ( which I will not mention) but I will have a hissy fit about a bit of bird ****. I wouldn't leave it there either. I'd wipe it off or move seats.I can't get my head around your thought process that it isn't important to not have bird crap on the seats, so let's leave it there shall we.
For the record, yes its great that this effort is being put elsewhere, but effort could and should be spread across different things.
I agree that there shouldn't be bird **** on the seats, it's unpleasant and a (small) risk to health. However if seats were jet washed before each game people would complain about wet seats and water everywhere. What do other clubs do? Put up with it or employ better bird scaring systems than MKM appears to have?
Hey up the gangs out. I did not start the bird **** thread. Your not pinning that on me.To be fair, you are banging on about it more than anyone.
Is it really so hard just to agree that of course the stadium infrastructure (toilets, roof, seats, lighting etc) should be kept in decent working order, whilst on the other hand acknowledging that it's what's called a 'first world issue'?
If enough people report the issues (as per TOM post #31085) I'm sure they would get addressed ..... eventually.
But true.
I never said you did.Hey up the gangs out. I did not start the bird **** thread. Your not pinning that on me.

The stadium is regulalry cleaned and maintained but you are arguing against me that it isn't. I attend it every home game , you every three years. It's like me arguing the toss about the cleanliness on Bondi Beach with you. ****ing pointless. It is possible to do more than one thing at a time and as this isn't the match thread I think this is the right place to discuss the condition of the stadium that a new owner would have to deal with.
I would have been over more recently, by the way, but there's a few issues in the world preventing that. Sorry if that means you don't think I have the credentials to suggest that a football stadium should be regularly cleaned and maintained.

The PA system in the East stand hasn't worked for the last few games, over a month at least, and that's surely a very fundamental safety issue because we'd have no idea if the stadium was being evacuated.
