The "Wasted Land" is not going to be developed for a very long time, if ever as it is not cost effective. A protected species of newt was discovered on the land and this virtually makes any development impractical as the cost of getting planning permission will be huge. A full survey of the habitat will be needed. The land is fully enclosed by railway lines (hence The Triangle) and it has no modern infrastructure. This has been the subject of many threads and discussions in the past and I am surprised that you didn't know the answer.
Wasn't that land the Allams wanted to develop when they bought the club? When were these newts discovered? Never noticed any thread on it other than discussions about how it would clash with the Hull Fair.
I agree that there shouldn't be bird **** on the seats, it's unpleasant and a (small) risk to health. However if seats were jet washed before each game people would complain about wet seats and water everywhere. What do other clubs do? Put up with it or employ better bird scaring systems than MKM appears to have?
To be fair, you are banging on about it more than anyone. Is it really so hard just to agree that of course the stadium infrastructure (toilets, roof, seats, lighting etc) should be kept in decent working order, whilst on the other hand acknowledging that it's what's called a 'first world issue'? If enough people report the issues (as per TOM post #31085) I'm sure they would get addressed ..... eventually.
I cannot get my head around your thought process either. 'It's great that this effort is being put elsewhere' ( which I will not mention) but I will have a hissy fit about a bit of bird ****. I wouldn't leave it there either. I'd wipe it off or move seats.
The PA system in the East stand hasn't worked for the last few games, over a month at least, and that's surely a very fundamental safety issue because we'd have no idea if the stadium was being evacuated.
The stadium is regulalry cleaned and maintained but you are arguing against me that it isn't. I attend it every home game , you every three years. It's like me arguing the toss about the cleanliness on Bondi Beach with you. ****ing pointless.
I'm suggesting if people have seats with bird **** on them or sit under a leaking roof and you tell them to move, you're being a prick. I haven't at any stage complained about the cleanliness for me personally.
That's another thing often mentioned in the supporters meetings minutes. Another thing being looked into.
It'll be interesting to revisit these topics in a years time. I wonder how much of an issue they'll be, if the investment has focused on the squad?
