It always has been the answer but you never ask that question. You always limit your question to the players or Bruce.
I’m sure you’ve claimed I’ve been “tap dancing” when I’ve given the same answer as above in the past.
Without looking I think you will find my answer related to expectations of previous seasons not this side this season. That last part is due to lack of ongoing investment by Ashley.

No I ask closed questions that means only two possibilities

Yes or no

I'll answer them.. I don't get that respect back and that's fine it just means I know you don't want to.

What I'm doing is asking questions that you don't like confronting.

Anyway you've all been shown to be demonstrably wrong over the past 3 seasons.

We can discuss the never ending goal post moves you've made about your expectations of you like?

No you're just closing people into a simple answer that ignores all context so you can claim you've won to stroke your pathetic ego

No im happy to discuss the side issues and I won't resort to insults behind my pc either. I grew up

They won't answer because they would have to accept my point and then I'll discuss their side arguments no worries because im honest not pathetic

I'll answer all questions

It's stops being banter when this happens... I won't just agree with people to suit you or anyone else

Leaving it here...

Okay a closed question to you.

Can a problem have more than one cause?

Yes or no?

You ask who is the problem, the players or Bruce? With most problems it usually, as in this case, isn’t down to just one cause. That’s why you don’t get your answers you want because it’s an engineered question where neither answer is absolutely correct.

And if you’re talking about the Prediction League then fair comment but I do think Jak rigs that. He has too many brown bags in his house for my liking. Otherwise you’re making it up again and you should remember what Dr Don T Makeitupagain told you.

Yes

See not hard to answer

I ain't hiding nothing

Want to answer mine now?

Did Bruce finish 12th with this team?

Did bruce have a good a cup run?

Did you give Bruce any credit?

So why do you ask who is the problem, eg players or Bruce, where there is more than one cause and expect a “yes or no” answer?

Because the entire thread is about me saying I credit where its due and that most nufc fans wouldn't do it.

I've answered your closed question

Now answer mine

Go on

The clear answer to your question is both.

Both the players and Bruce were part of the problem. Ashley was the cause of and the biggest part of the problem so why you consistently fail to mention him I never know.

But in answer to your question, it’s both. As people have said throughout. You do realise that a problem can have more than one cause, don’t you?
And by that theory means that currently Howe is making mistakes also. But it’s ok because it’s not his fault is the prior regime.

I appreciate he doesn’t have the players he would like but that can be said for Bruce.

Judging in on pure merit Howe is doing no better than what Bruce was with the same set of players. Imho!

Adding new players to the mix makes a comparison unfair on bruce!

Yes or no

The problem is Roy, a lot of your closed questions (not all) are the equivalent of 'are drugs bad for you? - Yes or no'

The answer will always be - it depends what you mean. It needs context. Just because a question asks for a yes or no answer it doesn't mean that either yes or no will be the correct answer. Sometimes the correct answer will be to ask for more clarity or context.

You are trying to create a dichotomy that doesn't exist. Was it Bruce not good enough or the players not good enough? The fact is that neither were good enough and nobody on here is saying that either were good enough.

The abuse Bruce got went too far. No football situation should result in personal abuse like that. Bruce did well to get us to the positions he did in his previous seasons, but this season it was clear that his management was awful. Many of those signs were there before but like you say he got enough results to hide it and it is results that matter. However, this season the results stopped and the performances came home to roost. It became clear that he had to go.

Will Howe do better? Time will tell and we haven't had enough time to judge. The result yesterday could well have been different with a decent striker on the pitch or facing a goalkeeper who didn't have a great game. That wouldn't have made the performance any better but we wouldn't be having the same level of discussions today.

The discussion you are having is a moot one. Bruce wasn't good enough and we don't know yet if Howe is good enough. We all know that most of the players aren't good enough.
That’s a fair assessment I would say. I like this post. It’s actually pretty spot on!
