It's just me telling every newcastle fan they've been were wrong about Bruce being the issue. They bullied that poor guy! Even if we won or took an unlikely point they found a way to discredit him.. Cup runs discredited. Best start in about 20 years discredit, finishing 12th discredited. Everything he said mocked and attacked, family members abused on social .. Bullied.

1.They said he wasn't doing well enough finishing 12th They said his win % was too low.
2.They said anyone would do better than Bruce. (there was none of this stuff about the new manager needing new players to do so)

I don't like bullying just be fair or at least just stop moving the goalposts trying to hide the reality which was always about picking a fight and not wanting to lose the argument with the media.

Or maybe 12th wasn't good enough? Well was it? Expectations were higher? Surely not?

So then why is Howe doing just as bad with the same players? Arguably worse given Bruce's Cup runs vs lower league sides

Anyone would do better than Bruce remember mate?

BTW I think Howe's football looks better im not having a go at him I think he'll do better with a better team... Bruce would have too.

Because he's having to undo Steve Bruce in the same way as Bruce eventually undid Rafa.

But that chestnut is correct.
The other people though sadly don't realise how bad it was. Howe is not a miracle worker.
It would have taken Conte or Jose or Allegro time as well.
Also the training where they went from 20% to 100% in the space of days won't have helped

So you're suggesting that this group of players is good enough to do better?

If that's true why is everyone wanting better players in January? Surely the new manager is the problem in that case?

We don't. For example we didn't need Trippier. Manquillo would have just been fine.
We don't need a new goal keeper at this stage.
We don't need two new centre backs. Just one will do.
We only need a left back due to injuries.
We don't need wingers
We didn't need a starting striker until injuries
We NEED central midfielders.

Yes and so did Bruce mate but that wasn't the line from the bullshitters.. It was that Bruce had to go and that anyone would do better.

Sorry mate I respect your original and honest view which was that you just didn't like the guy, but Howe's 9 games in and just lost at home to Cambridge

The takeover isn't relevant to my position.

Anyone would do better tha Bruce that's what was said (the takeover hadn't happened and there was no mention of them requiring better players to do so)

The fans blamed Bruce for 2 years claiming the players were better than they were seeing in performances.

Now the fans are saying the players are just not good enough.

Which is it?

Steve Bruce. The players are good enough but thanks to Steve Bruce and his tactics and his training and his constant criticism of them has left the players in a place of ****tiness

So then surely all we needed was a new manager to stay up? Why the need for players at cb, lb, cm and two strikers..

Because we have no strikers for at least 2 months. We only have 2 anyway so a 3rd would have been required regardless.

The central midfielders needed replacing no matter what.

Left back needed for to injuries.

Do we need the rest? We certainly didn't have to buy Trippier was Manquillo was good enough but he was available and is better than Manquillo.

My problem as usual with our focus on transfers is that we are looking at positions that are not as high priority.

So we agree that the problem was never Bruce and we need better players in most areas.
