This is the big question.
I'm reading into it that it hasn't and negotiations are continuing. This could also be why Tan Kesler is back in town (to try once more to get a deal over the line). Baz specifically mentioned he's not the one in the room with Ehab trying to get it done. Surely if the deal was done, with paperwork submitted, just waiting EFL approval, either the club or Acun / Tan would say that is the status.
The silence is deafening.
I hope to hell I'm wrong .... but who would really be that surprised if the Allams ****ed it up.

Not me for one.

So as per usual, the most negative person on the forum is being negative and making things up to fit into a weird logic.

Acun announced it on TV so it's done, we're just waiting on the EFL.

As you can see from the Southampton takeover, these things take time and their deal was done before ours yet it's only just been announced

Its not done in the same way it wasn’t done 6 weeks ago. It might be close, but it’s not done

This.

I just don't get why some want to say it's done when it clearly isn't. And again I will remind them that even when the Allams were so sure it was done they wrote their fond farewell in the program, it still managed to go wrong.

Question... if it is still in discussion..., how could it have been sent to the EFL for ratification...?

You get a binding agreement between the selling parties first, then it goes to the lawyers and tweaks are made once it goes to legal, then once its cleared by legal it goes to the EFL and if necessary twaks are made at that stage also.

It's a 2 or 3 way process at every stage as opposed to just a bloke with an EFL hat on rubber stamping paperwork.

It would appear that the sources quoted 6 weeks ago were stating the 'deal' between the parties was complete as opposed to final transfer of ownership - though at that stage it is essentially 'done' as neither party would be able to easily withdraw from that without sanction as long as certain conditions were met.

So it's not done then, glad that got cleared up

Wrong. The guys on here said it was totally done 6 weeks ago & just waiting for the right moment to announce. Just about sorting out the PR. Utter BS

When was the Southampton deal done?

When the parties agreed and signed the contract of sale, when the actual shares changed hands or when it was announced?

Things can essentially be done well before you get the scarf in the air on the centre circle shot done.

That said I'll accept that something that was not anticipated has almost certainly delayed the final transfer of ownership beyond what was expected.

What was BS?

Are you saying they hadn't been told that by sources who had been hitherto correct. You think they were making it up?

So they get everything else right up to the final date of sale but because we've been made to wait by something unforseen you say they're full of ****?

It wasn't done, because it still isn't yet done.

May well be that people had been told it was, but it simply turned out to be wrong that's all
