I just hope it's nothing like the one 700 yards away on King Edward Street. I had the misfortune to pop in there the other week. Badly organised tip (**** hole might be more appropriate). Boom times indeedNothing says boom time like the opening of a Tesco Express.

First opportunity this morning to visit HoH, because I want to support it and for it to succeed. Took the missus out for breakfast, or that was the intention. Believe it or not they were not serving coffee anywhere in the place for some reason ?? Tea only, in a place that has coffee from all over the world stacked up for retail. Worse then that none of the food places were doing breakfast ?? I like the look of the place but this morning it was deserted and the atmosphere was as flat as a fart. We wandered around looking for a place to eat, no-one was interested in serving us so we left and drove to Beverley. Carluccio's, lovely breakfast, lovely ambience, good service and a lovely smell of freshly ground coffee as you walk in. Everything I was expecting to find in HoH. Town centre looked very down at heel too. I think HCC are well ahead in that race to the bottom. Tesco Express move in, Sainsbury's move out. To even up the HoH review, spoke to someone today who said Hammonds of Hull is buzzing on a night time. Maybe why everyone looked hung over in there this morning ?Went in hoh for a skeg
Nice space
Get rid of the fruit n veg and the other sellers and just make it a space to eat n drink
And keep it chilled and not a race to the bottom and it’s good

I was trying to think the date it opened walking across it 2 days ago for some reason I thought it was JanuaryCastle Street footbridge has finally opened to pedestrians.
So that's why I couldn't get a sweeping brush and four candles this morning. Give HoH another go some other time. In fairness Sainsbury's move out, higher end food retailer move in.First opportunity this morning to visit HoH, because I want it to support it and for it to succeed. I will give it another go but it will have to up it's game. Not serving coffee or breakfasts ? Who did they expect would be using a food hall at 9.30am ? Even my newsagent sells coffee these days. But your pushing it a bit labelling Tesco Express as a 'higher end retailer' and they are miles away from the Sainsbury store which is closing. Hull Old Town may as well be on the other side of the Humber in comparison to 'new town' these days. Almost as far apart as Tesco Express on Lowgate and Sainsbury on Jameson Street are.So that's why I couldn't get a sweeping brush and four candles this morning. Give HoH another go some other time. True for some, not for all.Fresh food? Would you have to prepare it and spend a few minutes cooking it? Don't want any of that sort of thing in Hull. Too expensive so will have to order 4 or 5 takeaways.
