    Yep, tried everything. Even pressing the off button won't work, as you can't shut down with a program still running.

    <doh> Done that, it comes up with a screen saying "Can't shut down as programs are still running. Click here to force shut down by closing programs." But if I click it, it just does nothing and continues to freeze up (but with Pink Floyd still playing...)

    Ctrl+alt+delete, task manager, processes tab, find the relevant process, right click, end task.

    Found out how to turn it off - I hit it with a bacon sandwich this morning, and it miraculously shut down!
