I see what you mean with regards to OGS, I've never been a huge fan of hiring an interim manager but the difference in this case is that we could not have at the time attracted a world class manager who would have changed the fortunes of the club (Pochettino) and because the interim manager did well it meant you had to hire him and therefore miss out on your top target. I wouldn't be hugely adverse to McGreal if I wasn't aware of the past, in that we sacked a proven manager at this level and offered them very little time. If Ashton appointed someone like McGreal after sacking Cook he as sure as hell needs to be successful otherwise it won't be just McGreal in for the chop.
