mate that was just someones opinion of the stewards ruling, must be a person aggrieved by the decision who said it not the governing bodyI never knew the race director could do as he pleases though

never heard that Statement mate, but i only watched the race part not all the turmoil later the FIA have the power to overturn rulings by race directors if needed strange they didn't do it if not in agreementNo mate, it is in the fia statement, will dig it out
I had it on SSN, Damon Hill was bemused to say the leastnever heard that Statement mate, but i only watched the race part not all the turmoil later the FIA have the power to overturn rulings by race directors if needed strange they didn't do it if not in agreement
so it wasn't FIA whilst i have massive respect for Damon i wonder if he is up to date on the latest rule change for this year or going on what happend in his day, if i was Lewis i would be gutted hats off to him for his sportsmanship a modle for the sport. And as the records show the gratest F1 driver everI had it on SSN, Damon Hill was bemused to say the least
bit strong on corruption mate if the pit crew did a tyre stop like like Lewis asked for he would have won easy, pit crews fault not taking into account a safety carAbsolute farce of a race, the best driver on the day lost, ridiculous
Makes the sport look really badly run
The race controller knew Max would win as he was on fresher tyres
Horner had said to him,'we only need one lap'
It looks really bad, either corruption or bias
see above for comment, there but for a bit forethought Lewis would have won it was in the bag which i agree with, opinions eh everyone has one wars have been fought because of themYou must log in or register to see images
yet no one has mention what happened on the first corner, and Red BULL took the decision on the chin, Verstappen was first in the corner and kept between the white lines , Lewis tried to pass him on the outside but ran out of room, bearing in mind Verstappen had the racing line and was ahead, Lewis went off the track cut the corner and averaged just under 2 second lead which took him out of DRS range of Max, Lewis had the more powerful car was then able to pull away yet if the stewards had gave Lewis an advantage as DRS which the following car gets every lap MAX would have been able to keep up, but RED BULL accepted the decision like gentlemen, Most Lewis fans are very upset by the race but are looking with bias on the side of Lewis, i Learnt years ago not to get angry with f1, and yes im guilty of the same thing regarding Sunderland which is when the passion comes out, that ref sarrada was a ****, and nearly did us, but i cannot look objectively at it as the lads are part of my life. The two statements below sum up today for me. I bow to your superior knowledge of the rules MR but I agree with the following.
Would this have happened when Max Mosley was chief of the FIA, Bernie Ecclestone was the head of FOM, and Charlie Whiting was race director? I think not. There would’ve been clear rules & leadership, and the title would’ve been decided on the track. A sad episode all round.
This whole sorry saga is not Verstappen or Hamilton’s fault. It’s the fault of an inept FIA & a useless race director in Michael Masi.
I hear Lewis Hamilton is going back to the 80s with musical youth . He couldn’t pass the Dutchie on de left hand side

Problem was that Verstappen had all the power due to being behind. Had Hamilton gone into the pits ahead of him Verstappen would have stayed out. As it was verstappen watched Hamilton go past the pit lane so could do the opposite. A full lap later that wasn’t an option cos Verstappen used the virtual safety car and then the actual safety car to twice take the advantage. Drivers pitting under the Vsc and SC don’t lose as much time in the pits and can catch up more easily when they come out (with the SC).sorry mate i think your missing a big point he was only 11 seconds ahead due to not stopping on team orders he even questioned the not stopping i heard him he was told by his team it was to maintain the advantage, but his tyres were ****ed he would have won if a safety car had not come out due to a crash, but it did and he didn't have that lead any more.
