I think a lot of the confusion of the last 2 races has been down to him tbh, he just comes across as confusing with no clear instructions, even today he changed his mind 3 times about the back markers unlapping themselves, then didn't even allow that to happen properly.
I don't mind Verstappen pushing the limits, or any driver, but the penalties have been so inconsistent. It has felt a bit like they wanted a new World Champion but I was just putting that down to sour grapes from Hamilton fans. Today makes you wonder though.
I think it's hilarious. Hamilton's a snide ****e that tries to bend the rules in ways that he can still claim to be the victim, and it's bit him on the arse.
Yeah, I agree. At the last race in Saudi where he was "offering" penalties to Red Bull I think he lost respect from the teams.
I'm all for racing hard, but this guy is gonna be the death of someone, Hamilton fortunately walked away from one such incident when Verstappen parked his red bull on the roof of Hamiltons Merc. He needs reigning back.
I see your opinions went down like a sack of **** on the F1 forum. I hope you find the kindred spirits you crave over here.
It's Toto Wolfe and Mercedes lawyers that are appealing it, while they were upstairs locked In discussions Hamilton was downstairs in the drivers zone, bit wide of the mark on this one, and he actually spoke very eloquently afterwards, much more reserved then I would have been having been robbed of a world title
Lets be honest... F1 is a bit like Liverpool and Manchester City in the same division as Plymouth, Yeovil and Scunthorpe... I'm not versed in all the rules, or an F1 fan, but rather than watching 56 laps or so of dross, a scrap is a pleasant change and allows these two drivers to show just how good they are...
He's got Horner and his Dad telling him he's doing everything right, and to be fair, he's now the World Champion. He's wild on track but he won't learn if he's never punished. He drives in real life like I used to drive on PS3!
i dont like hamilton, but i dont like the way verstappen bullies other drivers out of the way. as for this last lap farce. its a bit like changing the rules so as to hand the win to the car in second place. also verstappen overtook hamilton under a safety car. people may say it was only centimetres and for a fraction of a second. but crossing the finishing line at the end of a race depends on much less than that. you either have rules and stick to them or bin them
This plus a secondary breach was that Verstappen actually went in front / overtook Lewis Hamilton under a safety car which is against the rules.
You don't need a safety car with my wife telling when you are going too fast, when it is safe to overtake, when you are too lose to the car in front, when you should brake and warning of other cars, bikes and people crossing the road that you are already aware of so you look round wondering if you have missed something. Needless to say she doesn't drive and says nothing in someone else's car.
